[Class 24.] In chains for conveyers &c. of the type comprising outer and inner link plates 3,5 connected together by riveted pins 1 and bushes 2 respectively, the holes in the outer link plates 3 forreceiving the riveted ends of the pins are positioned in sunken or depressed portions 6 so as to protect the ends of the pins from rubbing contact with the conveyer guides or other structural parts of the apparatus with which the chain is used.
