Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODOS PARA CONTROLE APERFEIçOADO DE EMISSãO DE MOTORES DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA USANDO FLUXO DE COMBUSTìVEL PULSADO". A presente invenção proporciona sistemas e métodos para aperfeiçoar o desempenho e o controle de emissões de motores de combustão interna equipados com sistemas de controle de emissões de armazenamento - redução de óxidos de nitrogênio ('NSR'). O sistema compreende um catalisador de NSR (206), um processador de combustível (200) localizado a montante do catalisador de NSR e pelo menos um orifício injetor de combustível (208). O processador de combustível (200) converte um combustível em uma mistura de gás de redução compreendendo CO e H~ 2~ . A mistura de gás de redução é, então, alimentada no catalisador de NSR (206), onde regenera o adsorvente de NSR, reduz o NO~ x~ em nitrogênio e, opcionalmente, dessulfuriza, periodicamente, o catalisador de NSR. O processador de combustível (200) compreende um ou mais catalisadores (308), que facilita reações, tais como combustão, oxidação parcial e/ou reformação e ajuda a consumir oxigênio em excesso presente em uma corrente de exaustão de motor. Os métodos da presente invenção proporcionam a regeneração de adsorvente de catalisador de NSR, usando fluxo de combustível pulsado. Estratégias de controle também são proporcionadas.
