Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA ATIVAR POLISSACARìDIOS, POLISSACARìDIO EXPLODIDO NA FORMA DE CELULOSE CRISTALINA E APLICAçãO DE CELULOSE", sendo o material de partida de polissicarídio contatado com amónia líquida a uma pressão inicial que é mais elevada que a pressão inicial que é mais elevada que a pressão atmosférica e a uma temperatura de pelo menos aproximadamente 25°C, a quantidade de amónia líquida sendo suficiente para pelo menos umedecer a superfície do material de partida de polissacarídio que é então expandido. O volume disponível para o sistema polissacarídio/amónia líquida é aumentado à maneira de uma explosão abaixando a pressão de pelo menos 5 bar. O processo é particularmente adequado para ativar celulose, goma guar, amido e quitina. O processo premite a modificação da celulose de uma maneira inédita. Os polissacarídios ativados apresentam reatividade mais elevada e eliminiação de reagentes melhorada durante a acilação, alquilação, sililação, xantogenação ou carbamoilação com processos de reação altamente hogomênea.
