Abstract

La presente se refiere generalmente al campo de la biología molecular y considera varios polinucleótidos, polipéptidos y métodos que se pueden emplear para aumentar el rendimiento en las plantas transgénicas. En forma específica, las plantas transgénicas pueden exhibir cualquiera de los rasgos que consisten en aumento del rendimiento, aumento de tolerancia al estrés abiótico, aumento de crecimiento celular y aumento de la eficiencia de uso de nutrientes.Reivindicación 1: Un polipéptido de T6PP aislado que comprende una modificación con alguna o una combinación de las siguientes modificaciones a) conversión de un residuo His a un residuo Asp en la posición de aminoácido 244 o una posición homóloga; b) conversión de Ala a Val en la posición 102 o a posición homóloga; y/o c) conversión de Ile a Phe en la posición 129 o a posición homóloga. Reivindicación 6: Una planta, célula de planta, parte de planta o muestra de planta que comprende el polipéptido de T6PP que se describe de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 - 5. Reivindicación 8: Una muestra de planta que comprende el polipéptido de T6PP que se describe de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 - 5. Reivindicación 9: Un polinucleótido que codifica el polipéptido de T6PP que se describe de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 - 5. Reivindicación 22: Un método para aumentar el rendimiento en una planta, el método que comprende: a) introducir en una célula de planta el casete de expresión que se describe de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 17 - 21; b) regenerar una planta de la célula de planta de a); y c) producir una planta con aumento del rendimiento. Reivindicación 28: Un método para aumentar la tolerancia de una planta al estrés abiótico, el método que comprende: a) introducir en una célula de planta el casete de expresión que se describe de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 17 - 21; b) regenerar una planta de la célula de planta de a); y c) producir una planta con aumento de tolerancia al estrés abiótico. Reivindicación 34: Un kit para detectar ácidos nucleicos que son únicos para el polinucleótido de acuerdo con la reivindicación 9 ó 10, que comprende al menos una molécula de ácido nucleico de suficiente longitud de polinucleótidos contiguos para actuar como un cebador o sonda en un método de detección de ácido nucleico y que después de la amplificación de o hibridación a una secuencia de ácidos nucleicos blanco en una muestra seguido por la detección del amplicón o hibridación con la secuencia blanco, son diagnóstico para la presencia de las secuencias de ácidos nucleicos únicas para el polinucleótido de acuerdo con la reivindicación 9 ó 10 en la muestra.
