    Janet Evanovich is the author of the Stephanie Plum books, including One for the Money and Sizzling Sixteen, and the Diesel & Tucker series, including Wicked Appetite. Janet studied painting at Douglass College, but that art form never quite fit, and she soon moved on to writing stories. She didn’t have instant success: she collected a big box of rejection letters. As she puts it, “When the box was full I burned the whole damn thing, crammed myself into pantyhose and went to work for a temp agency.” But after a few months of secretarial work, she managed to sell her first novel for $2,000. She immediately quit her job and started working full-time as a writer. After a dozen romance novels, she switched to mystery, and created Stephanie Plum. The rest is history. Janet’s favorite exercise is shopping, and her drug of choice is Cheeze Doodles.

      Once again Janet did justice in adding to the story. Stephanie and Morelli living together however once again for how long. I am wondering if they will ever end up together. Although it makes for interesting reading.

      This was my first reading into the life of Stephanie Plum...after reading about Stephanie and Lula's exploits to capture Punky...I was hooked!

      Typical Stephanie Plum adventure.
      Bit obvious as I'd figure the bad guy out almost straight away - light relief as usual.

      Vinnie writes a Visa Bond for Samuel Singh. He has 3 months and then must return to his own country. But Mr. Singh disappears and Stephanie must find out why and where.
      This one takes us out of Trenton - to Vegas. Along with Lulu and Connie, Stephanie tracks her fugitive and tears up Vegas, and Ranger's men.
      Stephanie also has to deal with a situation with Morelli and Terry Gilman (an ex-girlfriend of Joe's). And Joe's Grandma Bella prophesies of Stephanie's death. And find a missing dog.
      So funny that I couldn't bear to put it down.

      I have read all of the Stephanie Plum novels so far and I just love these books. They are a very easy read and are something to read when you just wanna relax after a long day. They are just so humorous and I love all the characters, especially Grandma Mazur. It has a little bit of everything thrown in, while still being lighthearted.

      I would recommend these books to anybody.

      Here is another Stephanie Plum book that is sure to delight readers. Ranger and Lulu are here to help Stephanie get her man. Again, I just love everyone in this series. They really do bring the fun.

      The best part is that the men that Stephanie is after are not always the brightest but some how they seem to give Stephanie a run for her money. Luckily, she does have Ranger to help her. When he walks into a room; people pay attention to him.

      There were so many funny moments that I can't pick a favorite. All I know is that I could not stop reading and laughing. Each book seems to get better if that is possible.

      By far, the Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series is one of my favorite mystery series that never fails to make me laugh and is hard to put down. To the Nines was no exception. Although this time around Stephanie did not fall victim to her car blowing up, she did seem to work her way through bodyguards. In this fun filled mystery, Stephanie sets out to find a missing man and unwittingly finds herself as part of a deadly game where the winner is supposed to be the only one left alive. Ms. Evanovich’s colorful and fun loving characters continue to steal the show, making for an even more enjoyable read.

      I love the characters in these Stephanie Plum novels. I guffawed aloud numerous times. Lula, the ex-hooker, was divine this time around. Joe Morelli's grandmother and her visions were wonderful as well. Great read!

      Bounty Hunter Stephanie Plum is partnered with Ranger when a man on a work visa bond goes missing and she finds herself caught up in a deadly game. All of the regulars are on hand to add chaotic humor and in a twist, instead of destroying cars, Stephanie is destroying Ranger’s men.

      These books are potato chip reads; light and easy to get through and you’re done before you know it. Don’t expect any growth on Stephanie’s part and that’s part of the charm, as is the sexual tension with Ranger while in an “on again” stretch with Morelli. We see a lot of both in this book.

      I don’t know how many times I’ve reread this book over the years, but it still brings enjoyment and a nice escape from reality.

      I liked the change from cars blowing up to Ranger's men needing to watch Stephanie. This was a pretty good book.

      Love King on the audio and has everyone down as far as characters! Always drams and lots of laughs...Lulu is a riot!

      Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is assigned the case of Samuel Singh, an immigrant who has vanished on a Visa bond. The case will take her to Las Vegas, while her personal life involves rooming with Joe, working with Ranger, and dealing with her mother, who is stressed out owing to having Valerie, Steph's sister, in the house, unwed and about to give birth. As usual, there is lots of humor, a gaggle of unusual characters, the exploits of Stephanie's colleague Lulu, and, this time, a serial killer who is after Stephanie. Lorelei King brings a sultry yet wry voice to Stephanie's story, capturing the absurdity of many of the situations. Ranger and Joe are well voiced, and King's characterization of Lulu captures her unique personality without verging into caricature. Even minor players, such as Singh's landlord/mother-in-law-to-be, are brought to vivid life.

      A Visa bond goes missing and Stephanie has to track him down. She, Lula, and Connie go to Vegas. Rescue a dog. And Stephanie becomes a prize in a murder game.

      Like all Stephanie Plum books, this is just a good time.

      When Stephanie attempts to track down a missing Visa bond, she finds herself caught up in an Internet kill game, in which a game master assigns the target and other players try to take the target out before the others do. Her search takes her to Las Vegas and back (with the ever hilarious Lula, the mysterious Connie, and the equally sexy Joe Morelli and Ranger popping in and out of the story). Funny, and suspenseful towards the end, I really only read these books for the outrageous characters (Lula and Grandma Mazur) and the sex scenes…

      I enjoyed this one and was happy that is was definitely better than the 8th and 8.5th books of the series. This had just the right amount of action, romance, and a little bit of humor thrown in. I love that Valerie isn't perfect anymore and that she had her baby. I really look forward to her and Albert getting married. I also can't wait to read more about Stephanie and Morelli's relationship now that she has moved in with him again.

      Stephanie is at it again with her wonderful cast of supporting characters. I like Evanovich's light writing style and her ability to get ideas across with few words. And she is FUNNY! Like one of the other reviewers I found something lacking in this one; it seemed I didn't care quite as much. Nevertheless, I laughed and chuckled all the way through especially around the 'vaseline guy' and Grandma Mazur. I love the relationships between Stephanie and Morelli and Stephanie and Ranger and will be sad should the sexual tension between them change. I love that both men recognize that they each care for her and take turns protecting her from the stalker. And, although I felt that the mystery was a little to 'pat' I did find the resolution very intense and suspenseful. All in all, a good read. On to 10 Big Ones.

      The crazy homicidal maniac makes for good creepiness, but I wish there weren't quite so many of them in Stephanie's life. Still, these books serve the purpose of escaping from life.

      Ok... this one started ok, normal. Then I got an overdose of a negative Lula and i couldn't take it. I struggled with my rating because I thought this book had one of the BEST and INTENSE endings in the series to this point. The ending was redemption for me.

      Pretty much on the same level as the last book (see my review for Hard Eight). It’s got a so-so plot, but quite a few hilarious moments. I almost peed my pants laughing in the very first chapter when Stephanie has to go after an FTA who calls himself “the Vaseline man.” Another extreme laugh attack occurred when Valerie goes into labor and her water breaks, splashing all over one of Ranger’s tough, macho bodyguards. Stephanie is back with Morelli and has some amusing encounters with his Grandma Bella, but I’m still feeling rather ambivalent about the series’ romantic relationships. The Morelli situation seems too good to last, and Evanovich is probably going to throw a wrench into it, forcing Stephanie back into Ranger’s arms - rinse and repeat. But To the Nines is still a fun, hilarious, and entertaining story, and I’m undoubtedly going to keep reading the series.

      Another fun adventure with Stephanie. For once there was not a cliffhanger. I'm still interested to see how her relationship with Ranger and Joe progresses.

      What's not to love? I did figure out the killer by page 83, but with Grandma Mazer and Lula and Ranger and their various schemes, I was still tearing through the pages.

      I have a feeling that this serious will dominate my 'read' list. This is book nine of the Stephanie Plum series & it is just as interesting as the first book. I don't how she does it, but Janet Evanovich has managed to keep this series going without any dragging lulls.

      I read one or two of those each year, usually during summer. What was a revelation in terms of laughing to tears from beginning to end at the first volume has turned into a summer read habit: the effect of surprise is lost but Stephanie's misadventures remain good fun. I'll see her next summer...

      The very first page sucks you in and has you giggling with the image of a naked FTA who's greased himself with Vaseline to keep from being taken in. The rest gets better as people turn up missing and dead and Stephanie and her gang of misfits set out to try and solve the mystery. Everything you'd expect from a Janet Evanovich book.
