Toy Libraries (ludothèques)

This article aims to discuss relations between children, cities and toy lib T university loc drew attention three aspects: (1) a plurality of meanings of the word city in the context of games, (2) the articulations and tensions between toy libraries and university and (3) the asymmetries in the interaction between adults and children during the workshops.

This study investigated friendship in youngsters that had just been admitted into college. The friendship aspects under study were: frequency of friends, presence of a best friend, origin, duration, influence from other contexts of interaction (family, romance, school), frequency of contact and presence of extra-best friends. The sample was composed of 24 adolescents, from 16 to 17 years-old, registered in major courses at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre, south of Brazil, comprising diverse areas of knowledge. The study aims at contributing to a better understanding of this peculiar life-phase for some adolescents – admission into college. In addition to that, this study brings about possibilities concerning future investigations that evince a better understanding about this research and intervention topic.

A psicomotricidade está presente em todas as etapas da vida, porém o período da infância ganha destaque, uma vez que é nesta época em que as funções psicomotoras começam a se desenvolver.  O objetivo desta pesquisa, de cunho exploratório, descritivo e de abordagem qualitativa, foi verificar qual a percepção de oito professoras pré-escolares sobre psicomotricidade e educação infantil. Para tanto foi utilizado um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada, cujos resultados foram analisados sob a óptica temático-categorial da Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. As categorias definidas foram: percepção das professoras sobre a relação entre psicomotricidade e educação infantil, atividades psicomotoras trabalhadas e aspectos que dificultam/facilitam o trabalho na área. O  presente artigo tem por escopo abordar a problematica da  subtracao internacional de menores, como reflexo da sindrome de alienacao parental. Por meio de metodologia qualitativa, exploratoria, com base em pesquisa bibliografica e em diplomas internacionais e nacionais, inicialmente descreve os aspectos proprios de tal fenomeno fatico-juridico e sua prejudicialidade a formacao individual dos filhos vitimas da alienacao parental. Originally a purely technical procedure for action in epidemiological surveillance, the term active search also became denote a political position of work in the territory. This article aims to show how certain practices in the health field, especially the work of therapeutic accompanying, community health agent and harm reduction works, down under the deinstitutionalization and integrality, transformed the meaning assigned to that expression. It is also present the potential for politicization of practice and opening a field of potential for the production of new meanings contained in the concepts of deinstitutionalization and integrality. Finally, through the reflections of Hannah Arendt about the principle of vita active, the paper aims to problematize the activity that is central to the experience of the itinerant workers and its practices in the territory.

This paper is a reflection on some of the results found in a research that aimed at analyzing social representations of 140 university students from the state of Rio de Janeiro about Brazil. It focuses on traces of the representations about the Brazilian and about its ‘alter' face, the non-Brazilian – for these youngsters. It was based on the theory of social representations, of Serge Moscovici, and on the methodology of mental maps, according to Stanley Milgram and Denise Jodelet. The thematic content analysis of the sketch maps in categories revealed that the absent elements in the drawings can be characterized as an objectification of otherness. The spaces considered to be inhabited by the different, who would be the antithetical representation of the Brazilian, are subtracted.

The availability of toys and games together with stimulating environment for the children to get themselves involved in play are important in promoting children's development. Good educational toys and games and the proper play environment for the children are expensive and difficult to provide, particularly in poverty and remote rural areas or in city slums. As toys have great potentials to mould the character and temperament of the young children, to stir imagination and to stimulate creativity and to improve the power of observation and concentration investment in the toys libraries was of great value. At present it is estimated there are more than 4,500 toy libraries in 31 countries on all continents. In Malaysia, prior to 2006, toy libraries numbering about 10-15. In 2006, the i-play Community Toy Libraries was conceptualized and set up primarily as an integrated community service centre offering opportunities for families to engage fully with their children in an interactive play environment. Since the establishments of this pilot project questions were raised as to what extent the objectives in setting up these libraries were achieved. Employing Stufflebeam Context, Input, Process, Product evaluative model (2006) this study attempted to assess the intervention process in the forms of the availability of the inputs, the efficiency of the process, and the effectiveness of the products. The findings show that toy libraries are believed to be the centre that can play important roles in strengthening relationship among individual in the community particularly with regards to children's well-being.Children participations in the planned and free activities had very good impacts on their cognitive, physical, and social developments while the involvement of the parents and the community was found to be very encouraging. Recommendations were made to explore and liberalize the definition used for toy libraries and to set up more toy library in marginalized area.

AMAÇ
Türkiye’de ve dünyada okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında beslenme üzerine
yapılan çalışmaları genel olarak incelemek ve kurumlarda konuya ilişkin verilen
eğitimlerin etkilerini genel olarak değerlendirmek çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır.
YÖNTEM
Türkiye ve dünyadaki mevcut literatür taranarak, okullarda uygulanan beslenme programları ve
beslenme araştırmaları ve bu çalışmaların etkililikleri derlenmiştir.
SONUÇ
Eğitim kurumlarında sağlıklı beslenme üzerine yapılan uygulama ve araştırmalara bakıldığında
tüm bu çalışmalar doğrultusunda çocuklarda ve ailelerde verilen eğitimin istendik yönde bir etki yarattığı görülmektedir.

Öz: Çocukların inanç ve bakış açılarının gelişiminde onu çevreleyen tüm diğer uyaranlar gibi kitapların da önemi büyüktür. Kitaplarla çocuğa sunulan açık ve alt mesajlar çocuğun dünyaya ilişkin bakış açısı ve duruşunu etkilemektedir. Bu çalışma, 3-6 yaş çocuklara yönelik olarak resimli hikâye kitaplarında resim edilen veya metin içinde gösterilen oyuncakların belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma nitel bir çalışmadır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden İçerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 200 resimli hikâye kitabı incelenmiş içlerinden oyuncak kavramı bulunan 28 kitap veri setini oluşturmuştur. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile kurgulanmıştır. Araştırmanın veri seti, benzeşik (homojen) örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın veri setini 2012-2015 yılları arasında yayımlanmış 200 resimli hikâye kitabı ve üzerinde " 3-6 yaş aralığı için tavsiye edilmektedir " ibaresini taşıyan kitaplar oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın temel problemine uygun olarak incelenen 200 adet resimli hikâye kitabından 28'inde oyuncak olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın veri setinden elde edilen sonuca göre 4-6 yaş aralığındaki çocuklara yönelik olarak yayımlanmış resimli hikâye kitaplarında yer alan oyuncakların Kitaplarda yer alan Resimler incelendiğinde en fazla temsili oyuncaklara yer verilmiş ve temsili oyuncaklardan dolgu oyuncaklara yer verilmiştir. Dolgu oyuncaklarda daha çok hayvanları simgeleyen oyuncaklar yer almıştır Abstract: As all other stimulants surrounding the children in their belief and perspective developments, the books also have a big importance. Explicit and subliminal messages presented to the children on the books have affected the children's perspective and attitude in regard to the world. This study has been done with the aim of identifying the toys which have been illustrated or shown in the text of illustrated children's books for children aged 3-6. This study has been done with qualitative research. Content analysis method which is one of the qualitative methods has been used. In the research 200 illustrated children's books have been reviewed and 28 books of them which have toy concept have built data set. The research has been qualified with illustrated storybooks for children aged 3-6 and the writer's books published before September 2015. With the aim of data collection, the research has been constituted by identifying the toy concept and its kinds in literature review. The result showed that toys used within the books by considering gender, and using boys with cars and marbles, using girls with dolls and stuffed toys within texts and within pictures causes gender stereotype. Using Building Toys very little within both the text and the pictures causes deficiency since they are used as an example for the kids.
