Abstrak PKBM Sanggar Anak Alam (SALAM) Bantul Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu jenis lembaga pendidikan nonformal berbentuk sekolah alternatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran fasilitator sebagai agen pembaharu dalam komunitas belajar di PKBM SALAM beserta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskripif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pendiri, ketua PKBM, fasilitator dan orang tua murid. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Hubberman yang meliputi, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber, teknik dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran fasilitator sebagai agen pembaharu dalam komunitas belajar di PKBM SALAM; (1) sebagai penggerak dan koordinator adalah menggerakan orang tua melalui kegiatan pembelajaran kelas maupun luar kelas; (2) sebagai penegak kesepakatan meliputi usaha mengikat dan meluruskan kesepakatan dengan orang tua dan mengarahkan anak untuk membuat kesepakatan bersama; (3) sebagai perumus kebutuhan diantaranya mengidentifikasi kebutuhan anak berdasar minat, merumuskan kebutuhan kelanjutan program SALAM, dan memantau kebutuhan sesama fasilitator; (4) sebagai perencana pembelajaran adalah membuat rancangan pembelajaran melalui workshop fasilitator di awal semester, kemudian membuat rencana riset bersama orang tua dan anak didik; (5) sebagai penghubung (linker) adalah mencari dan menghubungkan sumber belajar yang terdekat dari anak, memunculkan kebutuhan sumber belajar dari anak sendiri dan menjadi sumber belajar bagi warga belajar yang membutuhkan; (6) peran fasilitator dalam daur belajar meliputi mendesain dan menstrukturkan daur belajar, mendampingi, menstimulus, mengawasi, memotivasi dan menjadi model bagi anak didik; (7) peran fasilitator dalam penyebaran inovasi pembelajaran SALAM meliputi peran sebagai narasumber, edukator dan informan. Faktor pendukung meliputi (a) sinergitas dengan komponen komunitas SALAM; (2) kesamaan keinginan dan visi dengan orang tua; dan (3) kepercayaan orang tua terhadap fasilitator. Faktor penghambat meliputi; (a) latar belakang pendidikan; dan (b) keyakinannya terhadap konsep pendidikan di SALAM itu sendiri. The objective of this study was to describe the role of the facilitator as agent of change in learning community at CLC of SALAM along with the supporting and inhibitor factors. This study used a qualitative descriptive study. Subjects in this study are the founder, chairman of the CLC, facilitators and parents. The data accumulated from depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analyzed using interactive model from Miles and Huberman with source, technique and time triangulation. The results showed that the role of the facilitator as agent of change in learning community at CLC of SALAM are; (1) as a parent catalyst and coordinator, facilitators actuate the parents through classroom and outdoor learning activities; (2) as an enforcement agreement, facilitators bind and straighten agreement with parents and direct the students to make collective agreement; (3) as a formulator need, facilitators identify the child's needs based on their interests, formulate a continuation of SALAM program, and monitor the needs of fellow facilitators; (4) as the learning planner, facilitators design the learning through workshop facilitator at the beginning of the semester, then make research plans with parents and students; (5) as a connector (linker), facilitator is searching for and linking learning resources that are closest the students, appear the students need from their own, and become a learning source for learners who need; (6) facilitator roles in the 'learning cycle' includes designing and structuring the 'learning cycle', accompanying, stimulate, supervise, motivate and be a model for students; (7) facilitator roles in the diffusion of SALAM learning innovation includes as the speaker, educator and informant. This study discusses food crop agriculture in 29 districts in East Java, where many people are engaged in this field. This research defines two stages of equality. In this study using two model approaches, namely the first Model Analysis conducted using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and the second model Partial least square (PLS). Research results Increasing agricultural productivity or efficiency is important to do with a variety of strategies both intensification and agricultural intensification. Improving the quality of rural community resources is very to be done. Good quality resources will increase the absorption of high technology and will increase the productivity of farmers and workers in other sectors in rural areas, the Government's budget for development must continue to be increased both in nominal terms and the accuracy of its allocation so that it is absorbed into rural communities effectively and efficiently so that it can improve the welfare of rural communities and controlling the price of basic necessities in the region is also important to do. Bank Indonesia and in collaboration with local governments to form a Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) must work better in maintaining stable inflation because the rural poor are relatively vulnerable to price increases

Yönetim ve Organizasyon araştırmalarının en önemli analiz yöntemlerinden birisi olan Yapısal Eşitlik Modeline yeni bir bakış açısı getiren Kısmi En Küçük Kareler Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli (PLS-SEM) ölçüm ve yapısal teorisi hakkında temel bilgi sağlayan bu kitap, derinlemesine hiçbir istatistik bilgisine gerek duyulmadan PLS-SEM yönteminin nasıl uygulanacağını, PLS-SEM kullanarak yol modellerinin nasıl belirleneceğini ve tahmin edileceğini ve PLS-SEM analiz sonuçlarının nasıl değerlendirileceğini ele alan kavramsal bir çerçeve ortaya koymaktadır. Bu kavramsal çerçeve ise PLS-SEM analizlerinde en çok tercih edilen yazılım olan SmartPLS 3 kullanılarak Yönetim ve Organizasyon alanında örnek bir uygulamanın analizi ile desteklenmektedir.

Twitter, the most popular microblogging service by the end of 2009, has gained much interest among Computer-Mediated Communication scholars and practitioners. As a new social medium, Twitter shows distinguished characteristics such as text-based posts of up to 140 characters delivered in real-time, and via multiple access modes including the Web, SMS, and mobile device applications. Interestingly, and in spite of an explosive growth in 2009, Twitter is also experiencing higher dropout rates compared to other social networking sites giving rise to the term Twitter Quitter.
This study will examine which factors influence Twitter Quitters in their decision to discontinue Twitter’s use through the use of perceived motivations and innovation related constructs. Uses and Gratifications (UG) and Diffusion of Innovation theory (IDT) are employed to frame the theoretical background. Also, this study will offer support for the effects of mobile device usage to access Twitter on self-reported motivations and perceived outcomes of using Twitter .
An online survey will be used to collect data from 300 undergraduate students at a large U.S. mid-western university. A Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based data analysis will be used to provide support for which constructs explain differences between Twitter users and Twitter quitters. Also, the influence of mobile device use on the continuance or discontinuance of Twitter will be examined. Implications for both theory and practice, as well as suggestions for further research will also be presented.

This study explored the explanatory power of Uses and Gratifications (UG) and the Diffusion of Innovation theory (IDT) in describing Twitter phenomenon. Effects of mobile access and perceived outcomes of using Twitter were also examined and comparison of active and inactive users revealed which needs are likely to result in Twitter’s discontinuance if unmet. Online survey and data analysis with Partial Least Squares (PLS) revealed that the needs for Entertainment, Relaxation, the service’s Visibility and Compatibility were strong predictors of Twitter’s usage. ANOVA highlighted that the same dimensions were significantly lower among inactive ‘tweeters’, suggesting that the same factors may be responsible for both adoption and continuance. Mobile access of Twitter was found to be a catalyst for continued use. — South Central Timor Regency is one of the Regency within the Province of East Nusa Tenggara. It lies on 3955,36 km2 with 32 Sub-Districts and population of 459.310 people which made it as Regency with most Kecamatan (Sub-District) and most populated area in Province of East Nusa Tenggara. Thus, due it its large size, less optimum service of regional government regarding might occur. One solution offered for this issue was regional enlargement, which become the proposed enlargement of Amanatun. Amanatun was taken from the name of a kingdom during West Indies governance, which was includes in Afdeeling (Regency) South Central Timor. This proposition of Amanatun enlargement was having its own background that became the trigger and objectives of the people who desire this enlargement. Objectives of this study was to discover the triggers and objectives expected from Amanatun enlargement and whether there was relationship between the trigger and objectives of Amanatun enlargement also what is the form of this enlargement according to the prevails laws and regulations. Analysis process was using Partial Least Square (PLS) and appropriateness level for enlargement was based on government regulation guidelines. After the wave of ISO 9000 certification, a large number of enterprises started to accumulate a great amount of data regarding their processes. False-twist texturing plants used these data to set up a process and improve their operations. This article shows that data mining, partial least squares modelling and genetic algorithm optimisation can provide further use for these data to benefit the company in many areas, such as setting up adequate process parameters without requiring an expert to do so, providing the customer with the requirements that will fulfill his needs, simplifying machine changes, and reducing lot changes. The results show that the model and optimisation structure put together can find multiple solutions for machine parameters by providing the multiple product properties or quality levels desired. The prediction of yarn properties, such as linear density (Dtex), elongation, tenacity and boiled water shrinkage were made with R2 between 0.80 and 0.99.

The purpose of this study is to examine and explain the influence the role of goverment's on business growth and the empowerment of MSEs in Raha City. The approach of this research is survey with explanatory research design. Data collection is done cross-section by using questionnaire instrument. The population of this research is owners and the perpetrator of MSEs with sampling method is random sampling. Determination of the sampling magnitude of this study using the Slovin formula, sot htat, obtained 95 people. Data anlysis method used to test this research hypothesis is Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of this study indicate that the role of government has a positive and significant impact on business growth and empowerment of MSEs. Furthermore, business growth has a positive and significant impact on the empowernemnt of MSEs. Finally, business growth acts as a partial medication on the influence of government roles on the empowernment of MSEs. This means that business growth is significantly influence by the role of government and business growths significantly affect the empowerment of MSEs, furthermore, the role of government significantly influences the empowerment of MSEs.

Human resources are essential, therefore, the company should have a leader who is able to provide trust, direction, and motivation (transformational leadership). Thus, the employees are more focused on achieving achievement (promotion focus). To achieve performance, employees must be able to identify problems, find information, and generate ideas to solve problems with different ideas (creative process engagement). It makes employees are able to apply ideas on themselves (employee creativity). This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on employee creativity through promotion focus and creative process engagement as the mediating variables. This study used a quantitative approach. The technique of data collection was done by distributing questionnaires. The population of this study was 140 employees. The sample was obtained by the census method. The data testing technique used was PLS 2.0. The result of this study indicates that transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee creativity through promotion focus and creative process engagement as mediating variables with a significance level of 0.645 in the strong category (substantial). This paper briefly presents the aims, requirements and results of partial least squares regression analysis (PLSR), and its potential utility in ecological studies. This statistical technique is particularly well suited to analyzing a large array of related predictor variables (i.e. not truly independent), with a sample size not large enough compared to the number of independent variables, and in cases in which an attempt is made to approach complex phenomena or syndromes that must be defined as a combination of several variables obtained independently. A simulation experiment is carried out to compare this technique with multiple regression (MR) and with a combination of principal component analysis and multiple regression (PCA+MR), varying the number of predictor variables and sample sizes. PLSR models explained a similar amount of variance to those results obtained by MR and PCA+MR. However, PLSR was more reliable than other techniques when identifying relevant variables and their magnitudes of influence, especially in cases of small sample size and low tolerance. Finally, we present one example of PLSR to illustrate its application and interpretation in ecology.

The nature of an indoor construction site is dynamic and complex. This characteristic becomes even more evident when a multitude of interactions among workers, equipment, and materials exists. To assist various operations of construction, which are dynamic and complex in nature, previous research explored sensing technologies to discover advanced approaches for supporting construction operations. In particular, many researchers focused on investigating the tracking of construction resources over the past several years. Despite the previous research effort in radiosignal-strength-indication-based tracking systems, signal interference such as signal degradations, occlusions, obstructions and multi-path effects created by a complex and dynamic construction environment has not been clearly discussed. Furthermore, the fundamental understanding of issues associated with the signal interference is limited. This research aims to reduce the gap in knowledge of the RSSI-based tracking system when it is used in a highly noisy environment like a dynamic, complex and large indoor construction site. This paper presents the development of a new probabilistic local search (PLS) algorithm using Bluetooth Low Energy network technology. PLS is assessed with respect to accuracy, reliability and robustness. Two conventional positioning methods are subjected to the same tests as a benchmark for comparison. The results indicate that PLS outperforms the other conventional methods when the signal interference is high and performed comparably when the signal interference is minimal.

Environmental sustainability has become increasingly important to business as a response to rapid depletion of natural resources. IT specifically represents a meaningful part of environmental issues which society has faced lately. In this sense, Green IT/S emerges as a way of combining available resources and sustainable and economic policies, thus generating benefits for the environment and for business. So, this research aims at investigating the organizational actions that stimulate the implementation of Green IT and its subsequent impacts on environmental performance. We empirically tested our hypotheses based on survey data gathered from 327 IT users and managers of 83 Brazilian companies. Islamic tourism is rapidly growing to become the largest tourism sector due to its increasing demand of Islamic tourism products especially in a country like Malaysia. However, little research has been done to explore more about travelers' perceptions on Islamic tourism in Malaysia. This study used Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis as a tool to explore the dimensions of Islamic attributes of destination, i.e., Availability of Halal food and Worship Facilities (WF), Banning of Immoral Activity (IA) and Islamic Dress Code (DC) that maybe important to the segment of Muslim travelers for Halal hospitality in Malaysia. About 396 Muslims travelers participated in this study. The findings revealed that availability of Halal food and Worship Facilities (WF) and Dress Code (DC) have positive relationships on Behavioral Intentions (BI) among Muslims travelers for Halal hospitality in Malaysia. The study indicated that banning of Immoral Activities (IA) significantly affects Muslim travelers' Behavioral Intentions (BI) in Malaysia. The findings also suggested that Tourist Satisfaction (TS) mediated the relationships between Islamic attributes of destination and Behavioral Intention (BI). This study used quantitative method; the data was collected by using a set of self-administered questionnaire. It is hoped that the study will be used as a guideline for destination marketers to develop marketing strategies to attract Muslim travelers come to Malaysia.

No presente trabalho efetua-se uma análise dos stakeholders das unidades hoteleiras algarvias e da influência por eles exercida nas ações de gestão ambiental destes estabelecimentos. Utilizam-se as técnicas estatísticas de Análise de Componentes Principais e de Análise de Equações Estruturais, com recurso aos Mínimos Quadrados Parciais (Partial Least Squares-PLS), método cuja aplicação se pretende exemplificar. Os resultados obtidos permitem diferenciar os stakeholders em função da pressão ambiental que lhes é percecionada e detetar diferentes influências por eles exercidas nas duas dimensões da gestão ambiental empiricamente determinadas.

Islamic banking is based on profit and loss mechanism where the use of interest is prohibited. Unlike conventional banks, these banks do not charge a specific rate of interest, rather provides financing in exchange for profit sharing. However, there are studies claiming that, in practice, Islamic banking is same as conventional banking with regard to the use of interest. It is also claimed that, Islamic deposits are not interest-free, but are closely attached to conventional deposits. On this background, the objective of this study is to examine the relationship between pricing in Islamic banks vis-à-vis conventional banks by taking the case of Bangladesh. We have used monthly data during the period of 2009-2013. The findings of the study showed that, there is no statistically significant difference between the monthly average lending rates of Islamic banks and conventional banks. However, there is significant difference between deposit rates. The existence of causal relationship was inconclusive, and requires further analysis.
