Multicultural society

The literature on the subject indicates the importance of the state's policy towards minorities at the regional (voivodship) level due to the directness of the administration's actions undertaken towards these communities. This level of politics is also a verifier of the intentions and capabilities of the authorities in fulfilling the adopted assumptions. The article is an attempt to answer the question about how the actions of provincial governors can be a barometer of ethnic policy, reflecting the basic directions and trends in its implementation.

The purpose of this study was to find out the contents of cultural literacy and citizenship in the Student's book Theme 1 The Beauty of Togetherness in Elementary Schools. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. This paper examines the transcultural agency of selected representatives of the second generation of Polish political émigrés to the Ottoman Empire at the turn of the 20 th century: chemist, hygiene specialist and general Karol Bonkowski Pasha (1841-1905); general and state dignitary Władysław Czaykowski/Muzaffer Pasha (1843-1907); general and diplomat Hasan Enver Pasha (1857-1929) as well as diplomat, journalist and member of parliament Alfred Bieliński/Ahmed Rüstem Bey (1862-1934). Most of them were born and raised in the multi-ethnic empire, made careers in various fields and often reached the highest positions in the Ottoman state apparatus. They often played the role of transcultural intermediaries during the political and social transformations of the Ottoman Empire in the 19 th and 20 th centuries. This paper focuses on their involvement in the late Ottoman public sphere by elucidating their place in Ottoman society at the time of transition that characterised the period in question. By tracing the trajectory of these figures' identity entanglements, it examines their attitudes towards attachment to the Ottoman Empire and Poland. It underscores the importance of the Ottoman capital-Istanbul-as a contact zone in this process. It sheds light on various spheres of transcultural agency of these second-generation Polish émigrés in the late Ottoman state and society.

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis hubungan kompetensi dosen dalam mengajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. This research is the result of research which describes how much personality competence and emotional intelligence have an effect on improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 13 Balikpapan. The background of this research is because based on the results of observations it shows an increase from year to year, the achievement of SMP Negeri 13 Balikpapan both academically and non-academically is not optimal. After looking at several indicators, this study focuses on looking at the influence of personality competence and emotional intelligence on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 13 Balikpapan. This research uses quantitative research methods. The research subjects were all teachers who served at SMP Negeri 13 Balikpapan. The results showed that personality competence and emotional intelligence had a significant effect on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 13 Balikpapan.

Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru (X1) terhadap Karakter Religius Siswa (Y), apakah terdapat pengaruh Kompetensi Sosial Guru (X2) terhadap  Karakter Religius Siswa (Y) dan  apakah terdapat pengaruh Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru (X1)dan Kompetensi Sosial Guru (X2) secara bersama-sama terhadap Karakter Religius Siswa (Y). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik yang terdapat pada program studi PPKn, program studi Pendidikan Sejarah dan program studi Pendidikan Ekonomi di Universtas Sriwijaya menggunakan technology acceptance model (TAM). This study aims to provide the emotional importance of Civics teachers in developing the character of students who tend to be ignored by teachers who educate students with unstable emotions. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach through interviews and observations at SMP Negeri 3 Medan as a data collection tool. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that the teacher's emotionality at SMP Negeri 3 Medan was good as a moral influence and good coaching in developing character.

This article contains the idea of the importance of strengthening the competencies of global citizens insight through PPKn, whether in the context of citizenship curricular program at the level of elementary and secondary education, as well as personality development courses at the higher education level. Strengthening global insight was meant to prepare the citizens in the face and undergo digital citizenship (digital citizenship) were born because the process of globalization and development of information and communication technology. Through PPKn, competency global insight that include covering the knowledge, skills, and attitudes as global citizens built and strengthened to citizens ready to have relationships and connections across differences, while maintaining and deepening the sense of nationality and the integrity of himself as part of a country's citizens.

This study aims to develop the nationalist attitude of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Hulu in learning Civics. Nationale Identitäten haben auch im Zeitalter einer zunehmenden Globalisierung nicht an Bedeutung verloren. Besonders deutlich wird dies bei sportlichen Großveranstaltungen wie Olympischen Spielen oder Fußball-Weltmeisterschaften bzw. -Europameisterschaften. Die Medienberichterstattung über diese Ereignisse ist von einer starken Betonung nationaler Identität geprägt, der sportliche Wettkampf wird zu einem Wettkampf zwischen den Nationen, die SportlerInnen werden zu nationalen HeldInnen hochstilisiert. Im Rahmen einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse der medialen Berichterstattung in einer österreichischen und einer Schweizer Boulevardzeitung zur Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2008 wird gezeigt, wie in den beiden Ländern auf unterschiedliche Weise nationale Identität aktualisiert wird und welchen Stellenwert dabei der Aspekt des Multikulturalismus der eigenen Nation einnimmt.

The article attempts to analyze the problems of vocational counseling in a multicultural society. This problem applies in particular to the countries and societies with a traditionally diverse ethnic strucure, such as, for example, the United States, Canada or Australia. It is expected that in the near future – because of the influx of immigrants from the Third World to areas hitherto culturally homogeneous – this problem can become global. In this context, it is believed that the contextualization of the career of each person in its own cultural conditions of life and cultural identity is necessary. Korean cultural products have indeed gained some presence in Slovak's media, but it does not necessarily indicate a widespread shift in acceptance of different cultural products than those associated with Western cultures. The acceptance of Korean content by Slovak audiences is, among other things, influenced by various factors such as cultural affinity, multiculturalism, and technical-technological progress. Unlike other multicultural societies, Slovakia may not be naturally inclined to embrace diverse content. The study aims to showcase the possible changes within the acceptance of different cultures through multiculturalism and willingness of recipients to consume it. The paper also ponders over the potential role of the metaverse (virtual reality) in fostering greater cultural diversity acceptance. Moreover, it underscores the persistent language barrier, and the uncertainty of how virtual acceptance translates into real-world acceptance. In essence, the study raises question about the complex dynamics of cultural acceptance in Slovakia, where various factors interact to shape perceptions and attitudes towards foreign cultures, especially the Korean one.

This study aims to determine the effect of Civics learning on the national insight of Riau University students. This research was conducted at the University of Riau with a total of 100 respondents. This research is motivated by the existence of several problems with nationalism at the University of Riau such as there are still students who are not familiar with Pancasila as the state ideology, there are still students who participate in inter-faculty disputes and a weakening sense of defending the country. The study used a quantitative approach, this approach was chosen to determine the effect of Civics learning on the national insights of Riau University students.
