GNU Radio is an open source software-defined radio project, whereas the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) is hardware which is used with GNU Radio. These two technologies have been used to implement very sophisticated and low cost software-defined radios. In this paper, Audio transmission using Narrow Band Frequency Modulation will be implemented on the Pre-stored audio file by utilizing the Software Define Radio (SDR) platform which consists of GNU radio and Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). Audio Transmission using SDR approach is easy to implement as it is basically block diagram based and not requires any circuitry.

ABSTRAKSI: Salahsatu kerja software radio adalah proses demodulasi. Sebelum sinyal terima didemodulasi maka sinyal tersebut perlu dikenali terlebih dahulu. Proses pengenalan sinyal ini akan menghasilkan kesimpulan berupa jenis skema modulasi yang digunakan oleh sinyal tersebut. Tugas akhir ini khusus membahas proses pengenalan sinyal termodulasi modulasi analog AMDSBFC, AMDSBSC, AMSSBUSB, AMSSBLSB dan modulasi FM. Proses pengenalan sinyal diawali oleh measurement, ekstrak ciri dan bagian keputusan. Measurement adalah poses pengambilan karakter-karakter sesaat yang bisa digunakan sebagai informasi statistik sinyal terima. Ekstrak ciri menggunakan metoda Ratio ( R ), Standar Deviasi absolut phase (STD ap), Standar Deviasi direct phase (STD dp) dan Spectrum symmetry ( P ). This paper named " Analysis& Implementation of Frequency Modulation in Order to make a Frequency Transmitter " using CD4046 Microcontroller is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of transmitting of FM. If the battery become down then the amplifier LM741 amplify less voltage, as a result, there is a problem in the output frequency. If we want to get this signal in our Mobile phone FM, we need a range of 80-110MHz. But here we get only 1MHz output. Design and Implementation of an Educational FM Transmitter with FPGA Using SDR TechniquesThe basic purpose of Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems is to use a digital signal processor to numerically handle radio signals. The use of a processor like a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) to perform tasks like modulation, demodulation, signal cr eation, and line coding on these systems dramatically decreases the demand for analog circuit-based hardware. FPGAs are digital integrated circuits with a wide range of applications which are made up of links between programmable logic blocks. It's aimed a t assisting the creator realize the logic functions that the designer needs. In consequence, the user may change the function of each logic b lock. VHSIC Hardware Description Language (VHDL) is commonly used in FPGA programming. In this study, VHDL code was created, and a FM transmitter was implemented on a FPGA board (CMOD A7) in this research. The sound card interface on the PC used to send and receive the signals while suitable ADC and DAC cards are used on the FPGA side for the same purpose. Audacity pro gram was used to playback the sample wav files while HDSDR SDR program was used to monitor and record the signals in wav file format. Finally, using the MATLAB code, the recorded transmitter signal was demodulated offline, and the output was stored to the hard drive. The demodulated signal obtained is identical to the initial modulation signal, indicating that the modulation was correctly execu ted. As a result, a perfect foundation for the development and training of SDR systems using FPGA has been establis hed.
For a specialized device or set-up in case of any practical communication related problem definition, a sound communication system consisting of the necessary integral parts is very crucial. As such, the design and an analysis of the various communication system is very critical as it directly effects the performance of the device and also reveals the inherent capacity of the system to produce the desired results. In this respect our topic for this paper is the design and analysis of different digital communication systems with a view to determine the most effective system considering all the parameters so that it can be used for important communication based problems and situations. In the next section we will mainly focus on the design processes of various systems, the theory involved, the simulation results, some special techniques of error correction and also the error performance of the systems. Space time block coding (STBC), an effective and efficient transmit diversity scheme implemented Multiinput multi-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems have well been accepted as robust and efficient to combat detrimental effects of wireless fading channels. In comparison with STBC, a 3slot STBC scheme (Orthogonal STBC) shows superior performance with achievement of rate-one full-diversity and reduced decoding complexity. In this paper, an effort has been made to study the performance of Orthogonal STBC based Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) based wireless communication system on scrambled audio signal transmission. Now wireless communications growing very fast, in their applied techniques and equipment. Hardware reduction became a main objective for less cost and less complexity wireless communication devices and systems. One of the most efficient solutions for the hardware complexity reduction in wireless communication systems is Software Defined Radio (SDR), it's modulation and demodulation execute through software in a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), stored in a USB Dongle used to reduce the hardware by using software, that's enable the radio system to be multi-functions instead of one function as in the classic radio systems. This paper shows the software demodulation of FM broadcast (88 – 108 MHz) by using RTL2832 USB dongle which capture from monopole antenna to the RF Front-end (E4000chip) then to Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for demodulation and channel decoding through (RTL2832U) chip, As shown in the plotted received (demodulated through software) signals, Signals are so smooth (no ripples) which shows the high resolution of received signals. Furthermore the channel can be tune many channels simultaneously which cannot be done by the classical radio systems.
