DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE-STAND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all persons to whom these presents may come:
Be it known that I, GEORGE GILL, of Taunton, of the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented or produced a new and ornamental Design for a Bottle-Stand; and do hereby declare thc same to be described in the following specifica-- tion and represented in the accompanying drawing, of which- Figure l is a side elevation, and
Figure 2 an end view of it.
The article or bottle-stand, the form of which is exhibited in the drawing, is intended for the support of cruets, pickle-jars, decanters, or various other kinds of bottles, it being provided with one or more receptacles therefor.
The body in horizontal section is generally square or rectangular.
It consists of a vase, A, whose foot is a rectangular prism, a, tbe frustum b of a quadrangular pyramid, and a round head, c.
The body of the vase is composed of an inverted frustum, d, of a quadrangular pyramid, surmounted by an upright frustum, e, of such a pyramid, which, in turn, is surmounted by a quadrangular prism, f, all being as represented.
The vase is provided with four feet, l, which are rectangular prisms, they being arranged as shown.
The handle of the vase is represented at B as composed of' two columns, g g, provided with bases h h and capitals t' i, from whose tops a semicircular arch, k, formed as shown, is sprung.
I claim- 1. The design for external form of the vase, as represented.
2. The design, as shown, of the vase A and the handle BQ GEORGE GILL. Witnesses:
