UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK SCI-IILLING, OF CINCINNATI, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO T. A. SNIDER PRESERVE COMPANY, OF CINCINNATI, OHIO, A CORPORATION OF OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,097, dated October 7, 1902.
Application filed August 18, 1902. Serial No. 120,163. Term of patent 14 years.
To al?, whom t may con/cern:
Be it known that I, FRANK SCHILLTNG, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and wherein like letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in the several views.
Figure l is an elevation of a bottle, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a section on the line 2 2, Fig. l. Fig. 3 is a section on the line 3 3, Fig. l.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of a bottle having the plain round side portion A andthe ornamental neck, shoulder, and base portions. Extending downwardly from the neck of the bottle are a series of vertical concave portions B. These portions gradually increase in width toward their lower ends and extend down over the shoulder of the bottle. The lower ends of these concave portions are rounded, as shown at C. l The series of concave portions entirely surround the upper portion of the bottle from the neck down over the shoulder. Below the shoulder of the bottle are two parallel annular ribs D and E. These ribs are spaced apart, and disposed between them is a series of vertically-extending ellipses F. These ellipses form a band eX- tending around the bottle between the ribs. Around the lower side adjacent the bottom of the bottle are two parallel annular ribs F and G. These ribs are also spaced apart and have disposed between them a series of Vertically-extending ellipses H, the ellipses forming a band extending entirely around the bottle.
Having thus described myinvention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The ornamental design for a bottle, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my signature in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
FRANK SCHILLING.
