DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,656, dated March 31, 1891.
Application filed March 9, 1891. Serial No. 384,351. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN L. DAVVES, of Pittsburg, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for Bottles, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 shows in side elevation a bottle having my design. Fig. 2 is a sectional plan thereof.
My invention consists in the design for bottles,substantielly as shown in the drawings and as hereinafter described.
2 represents the body of the bottle, which is of cylindrical form, having at the base a peripheral ornamental band 3, which band prcjects outwardlyfrom the bottle and is formed with a series of adjacent concavities or de pressions 4 of slightly oblong or ellipticaloutline, which extend from the bottom of the band to the top.
5 is a bottle-stopper, the top of which is circular and of greater diameter than the lower part. Around the margin of the top is a series of adjacent concevities 6, corresponding in appearance to the series at the base of the bottle. The presence of such series at both ends of the bottle gives it a peculiarly unique and ornamental appearance.
I claim- The design for bottles, substantially as herein shown and described.
