UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
AUSTIN F. JACKSON, OF TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS, ASSIGNOR TO THE REED & BARTON CORPORATION, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TEAPOT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,365, dated October 16, 1900.
T0 ctZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUSTIN F. J AOKSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Taunton, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Teapots, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, and in which the figure is a side view of a teapot, showing my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the ornamentation for the bowl, comprising a centerpiece A, of scrollwork, and floreated and foliated sprays leading outward therefrom.
The sprays B and C rise from the top of the centerpiece A and, like the sprays D and E Application filed September 13, 1900. Serial No. 29,966. T r of patent 14 a at the side of said centerpiece, have flowers of the wild-rose type. The spray F at the lower side of the centerpiece A has daisylike flowers, while the sprayG at the side opposite the sprays D and E has a flower of the wild-rose type and also a conventional rosebud.
It is apparent that this design is also applicable to coffee-pots,pitchers,and other similar articles.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a teapot, as herein shown and described.
AUSTIN F. JACKSON.
