UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
V JACOB S. LOWRY, OF CINCINNATI, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A DEFLECTOR FOR WALL-REGISTERS.
To all wlwnt it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JACOB S. LOWRY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Deflectors for Wall-Registers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
J Figure l is a perspective view of a wallregister deflector, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional View of the same.
The same letters of reference indicate identical parts in all the figures.
As shown in the drawings the leading or material feature of my design consists of two side pieces A, with vertical rear sides, a curved bottom edge forming the arc of a circle, as at a, and an ogee curve, as at b, on
I their upper edges extending from the top edge of the rear vertical sides to the bottom edge of the front sides, which front sides or front edges, as at c, are much more contracted or narrower than the rear vertical sides cl. A covering-hood B unites the two side pieces on their upper ogee-curved edges b, and a second covering-hood O unites the lower edges of the side pieces on the curve a, thus forming an enlarged opening from 6 tofat the rear side of the deflector andacontracted throat g at the front side thereof. Beadings h are formed on the edges of the coverings B C at the contracted throat g and add to the pleasing appearance of the design as a whole.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a Wall-register deflector, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JACOB S. LOWRY.
