JACOB KESSELRING, OF CHESANING, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A CASING FOR CUSPIDORS OR SIMILAR ARTICLES.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, JACOB KESSELRING, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chesaning, in the county of Saginaw and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new d original Design for a Casing for Ouspidors or Similar Article; and I do hereby declare the following to be afull, clear, and eX- act description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a casing for cuspidors or similar articles.
Figure 1 in the drawings is a perspective view of a piece of furniture illustrating the invention. Fig. 2 is a front elevation. Fig. 3 is a side elevation.
As shown in the accompanying drawings, the design consists in a base or bottom portion A,of generally square or rectangular box shape, having rounded corners, (indicated at a.) At the bottom of this base portion A is a peripheral laterally -extending base flange, (indicated at b.) At the top of the base A extends laterally slightly beyond the vertical sides of the base an overhanging flange, which, like the base, is rounded at the corners, as indicated at c. The upper surface of the base (indicated at C) has two rounded or upwardly-bulged portions at each side, as indicated at D D, between which two rounded portions is a depression or valley, (indicated at E,) which extends from the front to the back of the base. Projecting vertically from the rear side of the base A and in line with said Valley or depression E is a standard or back, (indicated at Extending rearwardly and upwardly from the rear of the upper part of the base is an arm, which at its rearinost end joins an inclined arm extending from this point to and beyond the upper end of the standard F. This arm, which is indicated at G, is provided, as shown, at its upper end with a fanciful knob or ornament H.
The essential features of the design are the box-shaped base portion having the top provided with two parallel ridges or upwardlybulged portions forming between them a valley and the rear vertical standard or back extending vertically from the base at a point opposite the end of said valley.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a casing for cuspidors, or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JACOB KESSELRING Witnesses:
