Be it known that I, GEORGE M. MOORE, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Buffalo, county of Erie, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for Barbers Cabinets, of which thefollowingisa full, clear, and exact description.
This design relates to the ornamental formation and configuration of a cabinet for harbers, &c.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a perspective view of the cabinet from the front. Fig. 2 is a perspeclive view of the same from the rear.
The leading feature of my design consists of the body portion of the cabinet supported on legs and having a horizontal top wall, a vertical front wall with paneled drawers, a rearwardly and downwardly inclined rear wall having its lower end arranged parallel with the front wall, vertical side walls wider at their lower ends than at their upper ends and having their rear edges extending beyond the inclined rear wall, said rear edges being embellished by scroll cuts and each side wall being provided with a surface ornamentation in the form of a triangular panel, and a scrolllike rack on the inclined rear wall between the projecting scroll-cut edges of the side walls, said rack being ornamented by a series of openings, the said body portion being surmounted by a panel extending the full width of the same and having its upper edge scrollcut and its upper portion embellished by a foliated scroll in relief.
Referring to the drawings by numerals, l designates the body portion of the cabinet, having a horizontal top wall 2, the vertical front wall 3, with paneled drawers 4, the rearwardly and downwardly inclined rear wall 5, with its vertical lower portion 6 arranged parallel with the front wall, and the vertical side walls 7, having their rear edges scroll-cut, as at 8, and extending beyond the rear wall, as at 9, said side walls being each embellished by a triangular panel 10, the whole being supported on the turned legs 11.
The top wall 2 has its front and side edges cut to the form of a fillet-molding 12, and the edges of the said wall overhang the front, rear, and side walls of the cabinet, as at 13.
To the rear inclined wall is affixed the scroll-like rack 14, located between the scrollcut proj eeting edges of the side walls and hav ing a series of openings 15.
The panel surmounting the body portion of the cabinet is designated by the numeral 16. 17 designates the scroll-cut upper edge of the panel, and 18 the surface ornamentation in the form of a foliated scroll in relief, which embellishes the upper portion of the panel.
What I claim is- The ornamental design fora barbers cabinet, substantially as herein shown and described.
