DESIGN FOR A PATTERN FOR BELTS OR BANDS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 27,285, dated. July 6, 1897'.
Application filed April 20, 1897. Serial No. 633,055. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, \VILLIAM 0. EDGE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern for a Belt or Band for Ladies \Vaists, &c.; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as Will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a face view of a belt or a p0rtion of the same, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of crossingbands a a, each havin g a series of V-shaped bends b b, said bends in side elevation appearing to lie oppositely at the angles and to cross at points between the angles and at the longitudinal center axis of the belt, a series of angular openings 0 c appearing along the said center axis and V-shaped openings (.1 at the sides.
At the opposite edges of the belt, where the bands appear to be turned upon themselves, the said edges are more or less rounded.
What I claim as new is The design for a pattern for a belt or band as herein shown and described.
