21,351. Patented Feb. 16, 1892.
IPA/ENTER- CILMW y 'v UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, OF LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR CANES OR UMBRELLAS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,351, dated February 16, 1892.
Application filed December 2, 1891. Serial No. 413,825. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT ROSENSTEIN, of Lancaster, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Designs for Parasol, Umbrella, or Cane Handles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, which forms part of this specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for parasol, umbrella, or cane handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, showing a part thereof.
The accompanying drawing represents the design which embodies my invention.
A indicates the vertical stem portion, which is made of any suitable length and diameter. The upper end of this stem A is bifurcated to form the two oppositelyextending and slightly-curved ends B B, which support a circle C, that has its lower portion resting upon and secured to these bifurcated ends. As shown, the circle has its ends overlapped and the dowuwardly-extending end secured to the bifurcated end B, while the lower portion of the circle between its ends rests upon the bifurcated ends of the stem A. These elements form the essential features of my design.
Having thus described my design, what I desire to secure by Letters Patent is The design for a handle for umbrellas, parasols, or canes, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ALBERT ROSENSTEIN. Witnesses:
JOHN G. SCHAUM, HERMAN A. GAUTERT.
