To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, THOMAS W. SMITH, of London, England, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Type, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying typographic impression, which fully illustrates my design.

The leading feature of my design consists in the light scrolls terminating in a central dot placed in the spaces of both the uppercase letters and the lower-case letters, and at the sides of the upright lines of such letters as F I J L l T Y. The letters of the upper case. except 0 G O Q S, have in their middle parts short cross-lines with one or both ends projecting points.
