DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPES.
Specific-ation forming part of Design No. 10,685, dated May :21, 1878; application filed April 525, 1878. [Term of patent 7 years] To all 'whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J AMES M. CoNNER, of Greenville, Hudson county, New Jersey, have invented a new Design for a Font of Printing- Types, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographie impression, to which reference is made, and consists of aletter shaded upon the right and bottom by a light line.
In the letters B, D, P, and R, the upper rounding portion of the letter is curved around and terminates upon the left of the up-anddown portion ofthe letters.
The letters A, B, D, M, and R are provided with a curved line terminating in adot placed at the bottom upon the left of the up-and-down portion ofthe letters.
The letters O, F, G, K, U, V, W, and X have the curved line terminating in the dot placed at the top of the letter upon the extreme right.
The letter E has the curved line terminating in the dot upon the right at top and bottom.
The letters N, S, Y, and Z have the curved line terminating in the dot at the upper righthand and lower left-hand terminations of the letters.
' The letter T has the curved line terminating in the dot upon the right and left of its top cross-line.
The synnbol & has both of its terminations provided with the curved line terminating in the dot.
The dollar-mark has its up-and-down portion provided at the bottom with the curved line terminating in the dot.
The igurell has the curved line terminating in the dot upon the right of its horizontal portion.
The upper portion of the figure 5 is provided upon thc right with the curved line terminating in a dot.
The upper portion of the ligure 7 is provided upon the left with the curved line terminating in a dot.
Having now set forth my invention, What I claim as new is- The design for a font of printing-types, as set forth.
