DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRINTING-TYPE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,135, dated January 18, 1881.

Be it known that I, JAMES M. CONNER, of Greenville, Hudson county, New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is a specification.

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographic impression, to which reference is made; and it consists of an ornamental letter, the up-and-down portions of which are triangular-shaped, and are ornamented about centrally upon each side by the heavy dots, as shown.

The faces of the letters are ornamented at top and bottom by the open spaces or dots, and the spaces surrounding the letters and the open spaces of the same are ornamented by groups of short curved lines with tendril-like terminations and semi-elliptical curves with dot terminations.

The character of the design is preserved in the signs or symbols, figures, and lower-case of the font.

Having now described my invention, what Iclaim as new is The design for a font of printing-type, as shown and described.
