DESIGN FOR A FONT OF PRlNTING-TYPE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,456, dated September 13, 1881 Application filed July 30, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JAMES M. CONNER, of the City, County, and State of New York, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is a specicatiou.

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographic impression, to which reference is made, and it consists of an ornamented letter, ornamented upon its face by a series of heavy and light dots, as shown. The letters are Ornamented at top and bottom by a series ot' light dois, and are shaded upon the right and bottom by the heavy lines and the light lines below, and upon the right and left by the curved lines with dot terminations. The upper left-hand terininatious of all the letters, except the C, G, O, Q, and S, are shaded by the heavy curved lines, as shown.

The character of the design is preserved in the signs or symbols 86 .6, in the figures, and in the lower-case.
