DESIGN FOR JEWEL-CASE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,651, dated April 23, 1878 application filed April 4, 1878.
' [Term of patent 7 years] To all whom it may-concern:
Be it known that I, ERNST H. ZOEPFEL, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for J ewelry-Case, of which the following is a specificat-ion:
Thenature ot'my design is fullyrepresentedin the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.
The object of this invention is to furnish an improved design for cases for jewelry and silver-ware; and it consists of a case made in the general shape of a bell, with raised top rim and cap, and a projecting rim and ogee molding at the base.
Referring to the drawing, A represents the body or main portion of my improved case for jewelry and silver-ware, which body is made in the general outlines of a bell, and provided at the top with a raised rim, a, and a surmounting cap, cushion, or mounting, B.
The lower part of the body A is connected, by an annular concaved molding, b, with an intermediate step or rim, d, and with an ogee molding, O, that forms the base of the case, and spreads sufficiently to be in proportion to thetaper of the middle or main part of the case.
In this manner an elegant and pleasing exterior outline of the case is obtained, in connection with a simple general form of the same.
I claim as my invention A design for a jewelry-case, consisting of a body having the raised top rim to, surmounting cap B, concave molding b, rim d, and ogee molding O, as shown and described.
