SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,877, dated. December 27, 1898- Application filed November 30, 1893. serial 110- 697,916- Term of patent 7 years,
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, PHILIP MILLER and IsIDUR BODKER, citizens of the lnited States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Candlestick, of which the following is a speciiication.
This invention relates to ornamental candlosticks; and it consists in the novel form and configuration thereof, substantially as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is an elevation of the candlestick. Fig. 2 is a plan view of Fig. 1.
The design as shown consists in a candlestick having an upper rim or disk-like portion 1, with lower flaring portion 2 and contracted portion 3, with bead 4. Below this head is a concave portion 6, followed by a facet portion 7, having flattened or face portions 8. Below the facet portion are concaved portions 9 and 10, with bead or rim portions 11, followed by a frustnni-shaped or flaring part 12, with dividing or cross lines 25 14. llelow this part l2 is a ring or disk shaped part 15, followed by a concave portion 16, a conical or flaring foot portion 17, and a base portion 18. The frustum or flare shaped portion 17 has cross or dividing lines 19.
The design presents a novel, striking, and characteristic appearance.
