Растительный материал без предварительного измельчени загружают в перегонный куб и заливают 3-5%-ным раствором едкого натра . Настаивание материала производитс в течение 4-5 час, после чего щелочной раствор сливают и в куб пускают острый пар. Дистилл т собирают в приемник, где на прот жении всей перегонки поддерживают слабокислую среду. Окончание отгонки устанавливают по отрицательной реакции пробы с кремневольфрамовой кислотой.
