Abstract
Se describe una fibra de vidrio de baja constante dieléctrica y una pérdida tangencial dieléctrica consiste esencialmente de 52 a 60% de SiO2, 11 a 16% de Al2O3, 20 a 30% de B2O3, y 4 a 8% de CaO, en peso, como una composición de vidrio, y substancialmente sin MgO, substancialmente sin Li2O, substancialmente sin K2O, y substancialmente sin Ti2O. La fibra de vidrio también puede contener hasta 2% de F2 en peso. La fibra de vidrio es ideal para utilizar como refuerzo para tableros de circuitos impresos, y tiene excelentes propiedades diélectricas en frecuencias de aproximadamente 18 GHz o mayores.
