Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- a) 산 기를 갖고 적어도 부분적으로 중화된 에틸렌성 불포화 단량체,
b) 적어도 하나의 가교제,
c) 적어도 하나의 개시제,
d) 임의로 a) 에 언급된 단량체와 공중합 가능한 에틸렌성 불포화 단량체, 및
e) 임의로 하나 이상의 수용성 중합체
를 포함하는 단량체 용액 또는 현탁액을 중합하여 초흡수제 (superabsorbent) 를 제조하는 방법으로서,
하기 단계:
i) 단량체 용액 또는 현탁액을 중합하는 단계,
ii) 임의로 단계 i) 에서 수득된 중합체 겔을 분쇄하는 (comminuting) 단계,
iii) 단계 i) 또는 단계 ii) 에서 수득된 중합체 겔을, 다중 가열 구역 및 적어도 하나의 냉각 구역을 갖는 공기 순환 벨트 건조기에서 건조시키는 단계,
iv) iii) 에서 수득된 건조된 중합체 겔을 파쇄하는 (crushing) 단계,
v) 임의로 단계 iv) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 거칠게 분쇄하는 단계,
vi) 단계 iv) 또는 단계 v) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 공압 이송하는 (pneumatically conveying) 단계,
vii) 임의로 단계 vi) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자로부터 불완전하게 건조된 중합체 입자를 제거하고, 남아있는 건조된 중합체 입자를 단계 viii), 단계 ix) 또는 단계 x) 에서 추가로 가공하는 단계,
viii) 임의로 단계 vi) 또는 단계 vii) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 분류하고, 거친 분획을 단계 ix) 또는 단계 x) 로 보내는 단계,
ix) 임의로 단계 vi), 단계 vii) 또는 단계 viii) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 중간 저장하는 단계,
x) 단계 vi), 단계 vii), 단계 viii) 또는 단계 ix) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 분쇄하는 단계,
xi) 임의로 단계 x) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 공압 이송하는 단계,
xii) 단계 x) 또는 단계 xi) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자를 분류하는 단계, 및
xiii) 임의로 단계 viii) 및/또는 단계 xii) 에서 수득된 분류된 중합체 입자를 표면 후가교시키는 (surface postcrosslinking) 단계
를 포함하며,
단계 vi) 의 공압 이송의 종결 시의 가스 온도가 50 내지 95℃ 인,
초흡수제를 제조하는 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서, 단계 vi) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자 또는 불완전하게 건조된 중합체 입자의 제거 후 단계 vii) 에 남아있는 중합체 입자가, 단계 viii) 에서 분류되고, 거친 분획이 단계 ix) 또는 단계 x) 로 보내지는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서, 단계 vi) 의 공압 이송의 종결 시의 가스 온도가 59 내지 80℃ 인, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.

- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 x) 에서의 중합체 입자의 수분 함량이 1 중량% 내지 10 중량% 인, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 iii) 의 적어도 하나의 냉각 구역의 냉각 산출물이 단계 vi) 의 공압 이송의 종결 시의 가스 온도를 조정하는데 사용되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 건조된 중합체 겔이 단계 iv) 에서 스파이크된 롤러 (spiked roller) 또는 크로스-블레이드 분쇄기 (cross-blade comminutor) 에 의해 파쇄되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체 입자가 단계 x) 에서 적어도 하나의 다단계 롤 밀에 의해 분쇄되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 8 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 중합체 입자가 단계 viii) 및/또는 단계 xii) 에서 적어도 하나의 텀블러 체질 기계 (tumbler sieving machine) 에 의해 분류되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 9 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 iv) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자가 단계 v) 에서 적어도 하나의 롤 파쇄기에 의해 거칠게 분쇄되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 x) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자가 단계 xi) 에서 공압 이송되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 불완전하게 건조된 중합체 입자가, 단계 vii) 에서, 단계 vi) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자로부터 분리되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 vii) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자가 단계 viii) 에서 분류되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 단계 viii) 및/또는 단계 xii) 에서 수득된 중합체 입자가 단계 xiii) 에서 표면 후가교되는, 초흡수제를 제조하는 방법.
