Claims (49)
- (a) 나트륨과 필요에 따라 칼륨을 함유하는 리튬 함유 염수를 농축하여 나트륨과 필요에 따라 칼륨을 그 염수로부터 침전시키는 단계;
(b) 필요에 따라 그 염수를 정제하여 붕소, 마그네슘, 칼슘, 황산염, 및 잔존 나트륨 또는 칼륨의 농도(concentrations)을 제거하거나 또는 감소시키는 단계;
(c) 그 염수의 pH를 약 10.5-11로 조정하여 리튬 이외의 다른 양이온을 더욱 제거하는 단계;
(d) 그 염수를 이온 교환에 의해 더욱 정제하여 칼슘과 마그네슘의 합계 농도를 150 ppb 미만으로 감소시키는 단계;
(e) 그 염수를 전기분해하여 부산물로 염소와 수소 가스와 함께, 합계 150 ppb 미만의 칼슘과 마그네슘을 함유하는 수산화리튬 용액을 생성하는 단계; 및
(f) 그 수산화리튬 용액을 농축하고 결정화하여 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정을 제조하는 단계;
를 포함하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (f)에서의 수산화리튬 용액은 고순도 리튬 제품, 바람직하게는 고순도 탄산리튬으로 변환되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정을 원심분리하는 단계를 더 포함하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제3항에 있어서,
상기 원심분리한 결정을 건조하고 이어서 그 건조된 재료를 포장하는 단계를 더 포함하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 염수는 전기분해에 앞서 리튬 농도 약 2% - 약 7%로 농축되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (a)에서의 리튬 함유 염수는 태양 증발을 거쳐 농축되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 붕소의 양은 유기 추출 방법 또는 이온 교환을 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 마그네슘의 양은 석회 또는 소석회와의 제어 반응을 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 마그네슘의 양은 석회 및 소석회와의 제어 반응을 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 칼슘의 양은 옥살산 처리를 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 황산염의 양은 바륨 처리를 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 (b)에서의 염수 내 나트륨의 양은 분별 결정화를 거쳐 감소하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 염수의 pH는 약 11로 조정되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 염수의 pH는 수산화리튬 및 탄산리튬을 철, 칼슘 및 마그네슘의 함량과 화학량적으로 동일한 양으로 첨가함으로써 조정되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 염수의 pH는 제1항의 제조 방법의 제품으로부터 얻어지는 수산화리튬 및 탄산리튬을 첨가함으로써 조정되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 염수 내의 칼슘 및 마그네슘의 합계 농도는 이온 교환을 거쳐 150 ppb 미만으로 감소한 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 양이온을 선택적으로 통과시키고 음이온의 통과를 금지하는 반투과막을 채용하는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 전극은 고 내부식성 재료로 만들어지는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 전극은 코팅된 티탄 및 니켈로 만들어지는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 전기화학 셀은 "유사 제로 갭(pseudo zero gap)" 형태로 배열되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 단극성 막 셀, 바람직하게는 Ineos Chlor FM1500 단극성 막이 사용되는 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 전기분해 단계 동안에, 음극측 전극은 난류(turbulence)와 가스 방출을 촉진하기 위하여 랜턴 블레이드 모양(lantern blade design)인 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정의 제조 방법. - (a) 나트륨과 필요에 따라 칼륨을 함유하는 리튬 함유 염수를 농축하여 나트륨과 필요에 따라 칼륨을 그 염수로부터 침전시키는 단계;
(b) 필요에 따라 그 염수를 정제하여 붕소, 마그네슘, 칼슘, 황산염, 및 잔존 나트륨 또는 칼륨의 농도를 제거하거나 또는 감소시키는 단계;
(c) 그 염수의 pH를 약 10.5-11로 조정하여 리튬 이외의 다른 양이온을 더욱 제거하는 단계;
(d) 그 염수를 이온 교환에 의해 더욱 정제하여 칼슘과 마그네슘의 합계 농도를 150 ppb 미만으로 감소시키는 단계;
(e) 그 염수를 전기분해하여 부산물로 염소와 수소 가스와 함께, 합계 150 ppb 미만의 칼슘과 마그네슘을 함유하는 수산화리튬 용액을 생성하는 단계; 및
(f) 과잉의 수소로 그 염소 가스를 연소시켜 염화수소산을 제조하는 단계;
를 포함하는 염화수소산의 제조 방법. - 제23항에 있어서,
상기 (e)에서의 수산화리튬 용액은 고순도 리튬 제품, 바람직하게는 고순도 탄산리튬으로 변환하는 염화수소산의 제조 방법. - 제24항에 있어서,
상기 수산화리튬 용액을 농축하고 결정화하여 수산화리튬 1수화물 결정을 제조하는 단계를 더 포함하는 염화수소산의 제조 방법. - 제25항에 있어서,
상기 결정을 건조하는 단계를 더 포함하는 염화수소산의 제조 방법. - 제23항에 있어서,
