Claims (15)
- 광 파장 선택 필터에 있어서,상기 필터는 적어도 하나의 3dB-커플러 또는 적어도 하나의 Q-포트 서큘레이터(40)(Q ≥ 3), 1 × N WDM-(디)멀티플렉서(30)(N ≥ 2), N개의 도파관(31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 및 38), 적어도 N개의 반사 섹션(61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 및 68) 및 적어도 N개의 가변 광 감쇠기(71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 및 78)를 포함하는 필터로서, 상기 서큘레이터(40) 또는 3dB-커플러상의 포트중의 하나가 상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서의 제 1 측면에 접속되고, 상기 각각의 도파관(31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 및 38)은 적어도 하나의 가변 광 감쇠기(71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 및 78) 및 적어도 하나의 반사 섹션(61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 및 68)을 포함하여서 상기 적어도 하나의 가변 광 감쇠기(71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 및 78)는 상기 반사 섹션(61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 및 68) 및 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서(30) 사이에 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 반사 섹션(61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 및 68)은 브래그 격자(Bragg grating)인 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 필터는 상기 각각의 반사 섹션 및 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서 사이의 상기 각각의 도파관(31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 및 38)에 배치된 적어도 하나의 증폭기 섹션(51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57 및 58) 및 상기 적어도 하나의 도파관에서 상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서 방향으로 증폭기 섹션을 통해 광을 펌프하도록 적응되는 적어도 하나의 펌프 레이저를 또한 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 레이저는 상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서 방향으로 각각의 도파관에 전력을 펌프하기 위해 적응되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 3 항 또는 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 레이저 및 반사 섹션(62, 64, 66, 및 68) 사이에 배치되는 적어도 하나의 광 스위치(20)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 적어도 2개의 펌프 레이저(10, 12, 14 및 16)가 각각의 광 스위치(20 및 22)에 제공될 때, 상기 적어도 하나의 레이저(10, 12, 14 및 16)는 다른 레이저에 의해 방출되는 광의 파장과 상이한 파장으로 레이저 광을 송신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 가변 광 감쇠기(71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 및 78)는 2개의 마하 젠더 도파관(80 및 90)을 통해 상호 접속되는 2개의 MMI-도파관(110 및 120)을 포함하는 MMIMZI형(다중 모드 간섭 마하 젠더 간섭계)이고, 상기 제 1 마하 젠더 도파관(80)은 적어도 하나의 트림 섹션(134)을 포함하고, 상기 제 2 마하 젠더 도파관(90)은 적어도 하나의 위상 제어 소자(132)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 광 스위치(20 및 22)는 MMI형(다중 모드 간섭 마하 젠더 간섭계) 또는 디지털 스위치인 것을 특징으로 하는 광 파장 선택 필터.
- 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택적으로 필터링하는 방법에 있어서,광 파장 채널을 광 서큘레이터 또는 3dB-커플러를 통해 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서의 제 1 측면으로 송신하는 단계,N개의 상이한 파장 채널을 상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서의 제 2 측면에 접속된 N개의 상이한 도파관을 통해 송신하는 단계(N ≥ 2),적어도 하나이지만 최대 N-1개의 광 파장 채널을 상기 채널(들)이 파장 선택 반사 섹션에 의해 반사되기 이전에 감쇠시키는 단계,상기 반사된 광 파장 채널을 상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서를 통하여 거기에서부터 서큘레이터 또는 3dB-커플러를 통하여 송신하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 언급한 파장 채널을 제외하고, 상기 채널이 파장 선택 반사 섹션에 의해 반사되기 이전에 최대 N-1개의 광 파장 채널을 증폭시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 WDM-(디)멀티플렉서 방향으로 적어도 하나의 증폭기를 통해 레이저 광을 펌핑하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,적어도 하나의 광 스위치을 통해 도파관에 접속된 적어도 하나의 레이저에 의해 레이저 광을 펌핑하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,스플리터(splitter)에 의해 적어도 2개의 레이저 광으로부터 상기 레이저 광을 펌핑하는 단계를 포함하고, 적어도 하나의 레이저 파장은 나머지와 상이한 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 레이저 광은 각각의 상기 도파관에 접속된 레이저에 의해 펌프되는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
- 제 10 항 내지 제 14 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,MMIMZI(다중 모드 간섭 마하 젠더 간섭계)에 의해 상기 파장 채널을 감쇠시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 파장의 그룹으로부터 적어도 하나의 파장을 선택 필터링하는 방법.
