Claims (14)
- 중합성 메조게닉 물질을 나선형으로 비틀린 메조상으로 중합시킴으로써, 나선형으로 비틀린 구조를 갖는 중합된 메조게닉 물질을 포함하고 나선 피치가 변하는 반사 필름을 제조하는 방법으로서, 이때 상기 피치의 변화를-중합성 메조게닉 물질이 덜 정렬된 메조상을 갖고 중합된 물질이 보다 고도로 정렬된 열역학적으로 안정한 메조상을 갖는 온도에서 중합시키고/시키거나a) 하나이상의 키랄 또는 비키랄 중합성 메조게닉 화합물,b) 하나이상의 키랄 화합물(또한 성분 a), d), e) 및 f)의 화합물들중 하나일 수도 있다),c) 하나이상의 중합 개시제,d) 선택적으로 하나이상의 가교결합제,e) 선택적으로 하나이상의 쇄 종결제 또는 쇄 전달제,f) 선택적으로 하나이상의 염료를 포함하는 염료 성분을 포함하는 중합성 메조게닉 물질을 중합시키고, 상기 성분 c) 및/또는 d) 및/또는 e) 및/또는 f)의 양 및 유형을 변화시킴으로써 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,중합성 메조게닉 물질을 층의 형태로 기판상에 또는 2 개의 기판사이에 코팅시키는 단계, 상기 물질을 화학선에 노출시킴으로써 중합시키는 단계, 및 선택적으로 상기 기판, 또는 2 개의 기판이 존재하는 경우 상기 기판들중 하나 또는 2 개를 중합된 물질로부터 제거하는 단계를 포함하고, 필름의 피치 변화를 상기 중합성 물질층의 상이한 영역들에서 화학선의 조사 전력을 변화시킴으로써 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 2 항에 있어서,중합을 중합성 메조게닉 물질이 나선형으로 비틀린 메조상을 갖고 중합된 물질이 비틀리지 않은 열역학적으로 안정한 메조상을 갖는 온도에서 수행함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 3 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,중합성 메조게닉 물질이 콜레스테릭 상과, 상기 콜레스테릭 상 미만의 온도에서 스멕틱 상을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 4 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,중합성 메조게닉 물질이 하나이상의 쇄 종결제 또는 쇄 전달제 e)를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 5 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,중합성 메조게닉 물질이 하나이상의 가교결합제 d)를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 6 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,중합성 메조게닉 물질이 염료 성분 f)를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 7 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 방법에 의해 수득할 수 있는 반사 필름.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,나선형으로 비틀린 구조를 갖고, 나선축이 필름면에 수직임을 특징으로 하는 반사 필름.
- 제 8 항 또는 9 항에 있어서,나선 피치가 필름면에 수직인 방향으로 비대칭적으로 변함을 특징으로 하는 반사 필름.
- 제 8 항 내지 10 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,220 nm 이상의 반사 대폭을 가짐을 특징으로 하는 반사 필름.
- 제 8 항 내지 11 항중 어느 한 항에 있어서,필름을 가로질러 측방향으로 빛의 가시 범위에서 상이한 반사 파장을 갖는 2 개 이상의 상이한 영역들을 나타냄을 특징으로 하는 반사 필름.
- 반사 편광자, 광학 또는 컬러 필터, 장식용 영상으로서, 콜레스테릭 안료의 제조, 정보 저장 또는 보안 용도로서의 제 8 항 내지 12 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 반사 필름의 용도.
- 제 8 항 내지 12 항중 어느 한 항에 따른 반사 필름을 포함하고,I) 반사 편광자에 의해 반사된 스펙트럼의 중심 파장의 대략 0.25 배를 지연시키는 광학적 지연 필름,II) 선형 편광자,III) 호메오트로픽 배향을 갖는 이방성 중합체 물질층을 포함하는 보정 필름,IV) 경사지거나 벌어진 배향을 갖는 이방성 중합체 물질층을 포함하는 보정 필름,V) 평면 배향을 갖는 이방성 중합체 물질층을 포함하는 보정 필름,VI) 나선형으로 비틀린 구조(이때 나선축은 필름면에 수직이다)를 갖는 이방성 중합체 물질층을 포함하는 보정 필름중 하나이상의 요소를 추가로 포함하는 액정 디스플레이 장치.
