Claims (26)
- a) 기판상에 하나 이상의 이색성(dichroic) 광개시제를 포함하는 중합성(polymerisable) 액정 물질의 층을 제공하는 단계,
b) 상기 액정 물질에 그의 등방성 상에서 선형 편광된 광을 조사하는 단계; 및
c) 임의적으로, 상기 기판으로부터 중합된 필름을 제거하는 단계
를 포함하는 중합체 필름의 제조 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
단계 b)가 상기 액정 물질의 등명점(clearing point)보다 1 내지 5℃ 높은 온도에서 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 하나 이상의 일-, 이- 또는 다중반응성 중합성 메소젠성(mesogenic) 화합물 및 하나 이상의 이색성 광개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 하나 이상의 일반응성 중합성 메소젠성 화합물, 하나 이상의 이- 또는 다중반응성 중합성 메소젠성 화합물 및 하나 이상의 이색성 광개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 하나 이상의 일반응성 키랄 중합성 메소젠성 화합물, 하나 이상의 일-, 이- 또는 다중반응성 비키랄 중합성 메소젠성 화합물 및 하나 이상의 이색성 광개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 하나 이상의 이- 또는 다중반응성 키랄 중합성 메소젠성 화합물, 하나 이상의 일-, 이- 또는 다중반응성 비키랄 중합성 메소젠성 화합물 및 하나 이상의 이색성 광개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 하나 이상의 비-중합성 키랄 화합물, 하나 이상의 일-, 이- 또는 다중반응성 비키랄 중합성 메소젠성 화합물 및 하나 이상의 이색성 광개시제를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,

Z11은, 각각의 경우에 서로 독립적으로, -O-, -S-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -S-CO-, -CO-S-, -O-COO-, -CO-NR01-, -NR01-CO-, -NR01-CO-NR02, -NR01-CO-O-, -O-CO-NR01-, -OCH2-, -CH2O-, -SCH2-, -CH2S-, -CF2O-, -OCF2-, -CF2S-, -SCF2-, -CH2CH2-, -(CH2)4-, -CF2CH2-, -CH2CF2-, -CF2CF2-, -CH=N-, -N=CH-, -N=N-, -CH=CR01-, -CY01=CY02-, -C≡C-, -CH=CH-COO-, -OCO-CH=CH- 또는 단일 결합이고,
m은 0, 1, 2 또는 3이고,
r은 0, 1, 2, 3 또는 4이고,
L은, 여러 번 존재하는 경우에 서로 독립적으로, H, F, Cl, CN, 또는 임의적으로 할로겐화되는 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬, 알콕시, 알킬카보닐, 알콕시카보닐, 알킬카보닐옥시 또는 알콕시카보닐옥시이고,
R11-13은, 서로 독립적으로, H, 할로겐, CN, NO2, NCS, SF5, P-Sp-, 또는 임의적으로 F, Cl, Br, I 또는 CN으로 일치환 또는 다중치환되는 탄소수 1 내지 20의 직쇄 또는 분지형 알킬이고, 이때 하나 이상의 비-인접한 CH2 기는 임의적으로, 각각의 경우에 서로 독립적으로, O 및/또는 S 원자가 서로 직접 연결되지 않는 방식으로 -O-, -S-, -NR01-, -SiR01R02-, -CO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -OCO-O-, -NR01-CO-, -CO-NR01-, -NR01-CO-NR02-, -S-CO-, -CO-S-, - CY01= CY02- 또는 -C≡C-로 대체되고,
Y01 및 Y02는 각각, 서로 독립적으로, H, F, Cl 또는 CN이고,
R01 및 R02는 서로 독립적으로 H 또는 탄소수 1 내지 20의 직쇄 또는 분지형 알킬이고,
P는 중합성 기이고,
Sp는 스페이서 기 또는 단일 결합이다. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 액정 물질 중의 상기 이색성 광개시제의 총 비율은 1 내지 20 중량%의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 기판이 TAC, PET, PVA, PE 필름 또는 유리 플레이트인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
단계 b)가 상기 중합성 액정 물질을 선형 편광된 UV 복사선에 노출시킴으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합체 필름의 복굴절률(Δn)이 0.01 내지 0.30의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 11 항에 있어서,
상기 UV 복사선 출력이 5 내지 200 mW/㎠의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 11 항에 있어서,
상기 UV 선량이 25 내지 7200 mJ/㎠의 범위인 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 상기 기판의 주요 면(main plane)에 대해 평면 배향(planar orientation)으로 정렬되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 중합성 액정 물질이 상기 기판의 주요 면에 대해 경사진(tilted) 배향(0°초과 90°미만)으로 정렬되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
단계 b)에서의 조사가 상기 기판의 주요 면에 대해 비스듬한(oblique) 각(0°초과 90°미만)으로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는, 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
