Abstract
왼쪽 눈용 화상과 오른쪽 눈용 화상을 전환시켜 표시하는 EL 표시 장치와, 상기 왼쪽 눈용 화상 또는 상기 오른쪽 눈용 화상이 선택적으로 시인되도록 하기 위한 전환 수단이 구비된 안경에 의해, 입체 화상을 시인하는 EL 표시 장치에 관한 것이다. EL 표시 장치의 표시부에서 표시하는 왼쪽 눈용 화상 또는 오른쪽 눈용 화상은 제 1 기간에 있어서 신호선의 화상 신호를 제 1 용량 소자에서 유지시키고, 제 2 기간에 있어서 상기 제 1 용량 소자에 유지된 상기 화상 신호를 제 2 용량 소자에 유지시켜 점등 제어 트랜지스터를 흐르는 전류를 제어하고, 제 3 기간에 있어서 구동 트랜지스터를 도통 상태로 하여 발광 소자의 점등을 제어하고, 또 신호선의 화상 신호를 제 1 용량 소자에서 유지시키는 것이다.

상기 제 1 전원선 및 상기 발광 소자 사이에 전기적으로 직렬 접속된 제 3 트랜지스터 및 제 4 트랜지스터;
상기 신호선 및 상기 제 3 트랜지스터의 게이트 사이에 전기적으로 직렬 접속된 제 1 트랜지스터 및 제 2 트랜지스터;
상기 제 1 트랜지스터 및 상기 제 2 트랜지스터 사이에 상기 신호선으로부터 공급되는 화상 신호를 유지시키는 제 1 용량 소자; 및
상기 제 2 트랜지스터 및 상기 제 3 트랜지스터의 상기 게이트 사이에 상기 화상 신호를 유지시키는 제 2 용량 소자를 포함하는, 상기 화소; 및

제 2 기간에서 상기 제 1 트랜지스터를 오프 상태로 하면서 제 1 제어 신호에 의해 제 2 트랜지스터를 온 상태로 함으로써, 상기 제 1 용량 소자에 유지된 상기 화상 신호가 제 2 용량 소자에 전송되고 제 3 트랜지스터의 제 1 단자와 제 2 단자 사이에 흐르는 전류가 상기 제 2 용량 소자에 유지된 상기 화상 신호에 따라 제어되는 단계;
