Description
Claims (11)
- 화상 표시 장치에 있어서,디지털 화소 데이터를 아날로그 화소 신호로 변환시키기 위한 디지털/아날로그 변환부;상기 디지털/아날로그 변환부에서 출력되는 아날로그 화소 신호를 입력하여, 각 행별로 상기 아날로그 화소 신호를 스위칭하여 제1충전소자에 충전시키고, 상기 제1충전소자에 충전된 신호를 프레임별로 스위칭하여 제2충전소자에 충전시키며, 상기 제2충전소자에 현재 프레임의 신호를 충전시키기 전에 상기 제2충전소자 및 액정 셀에 충전된 이전 프레임의 신호를 방전시키기 위한 픽셀 구동부; 및상기 제2충전소자에 충전된 화소 신호 및 소정의 교류 구동 전압 차에 의하여 화상을 표시하기 위한 액정 셀을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디지털 화소 데이터는 펄스 폭 변조된 디지털 화소 데이터임을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디지털/아날로그 변환부는 현재 라인의 화소 신호를 충전시키기 전에, 이미 충전되어 있는 이전 라인의 화소 신호를 라인 주기로 방전시키기 위한 방전 스위칭 회로를 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디지털/아날로그 변환부는펄스 폭 변조된 디지털 화소 데이터 신호에 상응하여 전류원을 스위칭하여 출력시키기 위한 제1스위칭 수단;상기 제1스위칭수단의 출력신호를 충전시키기 위한 제1커패시터; 및상기 제1커패시터에 병렬로 접속되어, 상기 제1커패시터에 현재 라인의 화소 신호를 충전시키기 전에, 이미 충전되어 있는 이전 라인의 화소 신호를 라인 주기로 방전시키기 위한 제2스위칭 수단을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 제1스위칭 수단의 출력단자에 임피던스 매칭용 버퍼회로 수단을 더 포함함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 픽셀 구동부는상기 디지털/아날로그 변환부에서 출력되는 아날로그 화소 신호를 라인 주기의 게이트신호에 의하여 스위칭하여 출력시키기 위한 제3스위칭 수단;상기 제3스위칭 수단의 출력신호를 충전시키기 위한 제2커패시터;상기 제2커패시터에 충전된 화소 신호를 프레임 주기의 제1게이트신호에 의하여 스위칭하여 출력시키기 위한 제4스위칭 수단;상기 제4스위칭 수단의 출력신호를 충전시키기 위한 제3커패시터; 및상기 제3커패시터에 병렬로 접속되어, 현재 프레임의 화소 신호를 상기 제3커패시터에 충전시키기 전에 이미 충전되어 있는 이전 프레임의 화소 신호를 프레임 주기의 제2게이트신호에 의하여 방전시키기 위한 제5스위칭 수단을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제2커패시터의 용량은 상기 제3커패시터의 용량보다 크게 설정하고, 상기 제3커패시터의 용량은 상기 액정 셀의 커패시터 용량보다 크게 설정함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 소정의 교류 구동 전압은 프레임 단위로 정/부 전압으로 가변되도록 설정됨을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 소자 구동 장치.
- 화상 표시 장치를 구성하는 액정 셀을 구동시키는 회로를 설계하는 방법에 있어서,듀얼 버퍼 구조를 갖으며, 아날로그 화소 신호를 각 행별로 스위칭하여 제1충전소자에 충전시키는 프로세스를 실행하고, 상기 제1충전소자에 충전된 신호를 프레임별로 스위칭하여 제2충전소자에 충전시키는 프로세스를 실행하며, 상기 제2충전소자에 충전된 신호에 의하여 상기 액정 셀이 구동되며, 상기 제2충전소자에 현재 프레임의 신호를 충전시키기 전에 상기 제2충전소자에 충전된 이전 프레임의 신호를 방전시키는 프로세스를 실행하도록 스위칭 시퀀스를 설계함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치 설계 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 아날로그 화소 신호는 디지털 화소 데이터를 펄스 폭 변조된 디지털 화소 데이터임을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치 설계 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제1충전소자의 용량은 상기 제2충전소자의 용량보다 크게 설정하고, 상기 제2충전소자의 용량은 상기 액정 셀의 충전 용량보다 크게 설정함을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치 설계 방법.
