Abstract
Description
Claims (16)
- 기판;상기 기판상에 형성된 전극;상기 전극에 접속되어 이루어지는 스위칭 소자;상기 전극 및 상기 스위칭 소자상에 위치하는 액정의 층;상기 액정의 층의 층두께를 규제하는 포토스페이서; 및상기 포토스페이서와 상기 기판 사이에 형성된 스페이서 차광막을 가지며,상기 스페이서 차광막은 상기 스위칭 소자를 구성하는 복수의 요소의 1 개 이상과 동일한 재료에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,표시 단위인 복수의 표시 도트 영역과, 그들 표시 도트 영역 사이에 형성된 도트간 차광 영역을 더 가지며,상기 포토스페이서는 상기 표시 도트 영역내에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 액정을 사이에 끼우고 상기 기판의 반대측에 배치되고, 상기 도트 영역 및 상기 도트간 차광 영역에 겹쳐지도록 배치되어 이루어지는 복수의 다른 색의 착색 요소를 갖는 제 2 기판을 구비하고,상기 도트간 차광 영역은 상기 다른 색의 착색 요소를 겹침으로써 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 다른 색의 착색 요소의 색은 3 원색인 적색, 녹색, 청색이고,상기 포토스페이서는 청색의 표시 도트 영역에 대응하여 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 표시 도트 영역은 광을 투과하는 도트내 투과 영역과, 광을 반사하는 도트내 반사 영역을 가지며,상기 포토스페이서는 상기 도트내 반사 영역에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 도트내 투과 영역에 대응하는 두께가, 상기 도트내 반사 영역에 대응하는 두께보다 얇고, 상기 도트내 반사 영역에 대응하는 표면이 평탄한 수지층을 더 가지며,상기 수지층상에 상기 액정의 층을 형성함으로써, 상기 도트내 투과 영역에 대응하는 상기 액정의 층의 층두께는 상기 도트내 반사 영역에 대응하는 액정의 층의 층두께보다 두꺼운 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭 소자는 복수의 층으로 구성된 적층 구조이고,상기 스페이서 차광막은 상기 스위칭 소자를 구성하는 상기 적층 구조의 2 개 이상의 층과 동일한 재료를 적층하여 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭 소자는 상기 기판측으로부터 차례로 탄탈/절연막/크롬의 적층 구조를 갖는 박막 다이오드이고,상기 스페이서 차광막은 탄탈 또는 크롬의 단체 (單體) 에 의해, 또는 기판측으로부터 차례로 탄탈/크롬의 적층 구조에 의해 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 기판의 상기 액정의 층과 반대측 면은 관찰측 면이고, 상기 기판의 관찰측 면에는 상기 기판측으로부터 차례로 위상차판 및 편광판이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판에 액정을 협지하여 이루어지는 액정 표시 장치로서,일방의 상기 기판에 배치되고, 상기 액정에 전압을 인가하는 전극;상기 전극상에 배치되고, 상기 액정의 층의 층두께를 규제하는 포토스페이서; 및상기 포토스페이서와 상기 기판 사이에 형성된 스페이서 차광막을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 기판상에 스위칭 소자를 형성하는 공정;상기 기판상에 스페이서 차광막을 형성하는 공정;상기 스위칭 소자에 도전 접속하도록 상기 기판상에 전극을 형성하는 공정;액정의 층의 층두께를 규제하는 포토스페이서를 상기 스페이서 차광막상에 형성하는 공정; 및상기 전극에 겹쳐지도록 상기 기판상에 상기 액정의 층을 위치시키는 공정을 가지며,상기 스페이서 차광막을 형성하는 공정은 상기 스위칭 소자를 구성하는 복수의 구성 요소의 1 개 이상을 형성하는 공정과 동일한 공정으로 동일한 재료를 사용하여 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,표시 단위인 복수의 표시 도트 영역을 메우도록 도트간 차광 영역을 형성하는 공정을 더 가지며,상기 포토스페이서는 상기 표시 도트 영역내에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 액정을 사이에 끼우고 상기 기판의 반대측에 복수의 다른 색의 착색 요소를 형성하는 공정을 더 가지며,상기 도트간 차광 영역을 형성하는 공정에서는 상기 다른 색의 착색 요소를 겹침으로써 상기 도트간 차광 영역이 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 11 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 스위칭 소자를 형성하는 공정은,상기 기판상에 제 1 금속을 형성하는 공정;상기 제 1 금속상에 절연막을 형성하는 공정; 및상기 절연막상에 제 2 금속을 형성하는 공정을 가지며,상기 스페이서 차광막을 형성하는 공정은 상기 제 1 금속을 형성하는 공정 또는 상기 제 2 금속을 형성하는 공정과 동시에 동일한 재료를 사용하여 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 한 쌍의 기판에 액정을 협지하여 이루어지는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법으로서,상기 기판상에 스페이서 차광막을 형성하는 공정;상기 액정에 전압을 인가하는 전극을 상기 스페이서 차광막과 평면적으로 겹쳐지도록 형성하는 공정;상기 액정의 층의 층두께를 규제하는 포토스페이서를 상기 스페이서 차광막상에 형성하는 공정; 및상기 전극에 겹쳐지도록 상기 기판상에 액정의 층을 위치시키는 공정을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치의 제조 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 10 항에 기재된 액정 표시 장치를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대 전화기.
