Description
Claims (17)
- 기판 상에 배치되는 복수의 신호선과, 상기 신호선에 대략 직교하여 배치되는 복수의 주사선과, 이들 신호선 및 주사선의 교점 부근에 배치되는 복수의 화소 스위치와, 상기 복수의 화소 스위치에 의해 각각 선택되는 복수의 표시 화소와, 상기 복수의 신호선에 아날로그 영상 신호를 출력하는 신호선 구동 회로를 포함한 표시 장치에 있어서,상기 복수의 표시 화소 각각은, 외부로 방출하는 광의 주파장이 각각 다른 2종류 이상의 발광 소자 중 하나를 포함하고, 상기 주사선 방향으로 서로 다른 종류의 발광 소자가 순차적으로 배열되도록 배치되며,상기 신호선 구동 회로는,상기 복수의 신호선을 각각 소정 수의 신호선으로 이루어지는 복수의 신호선 블록으로 구분하고, 상기 발광 소자의 종류에 따른 복수의 계조 기준 전압군에 기초하여, 상기 신호선 블록마다 외부로부터 입력되는 디지털 신호를 아날로그 신호로 변환하는 DA 컨버터를 가지며, 상기 아날로그 신호를 아날로그 영상 신호로서 직렬로 출력하는 변환 회로와,상기 변환 회로로부터의 아날로그 영상 신호를 상기 신호선 블록의 대응하는 신호선에 순차적으로 배분하는 신호선 선택 회로를 포함하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 표시 화소는, 외부로 방출하는 광의 주파장이 서로 다른 3종류의 표시 소자 중 하나를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 신호선 블록은, 상기 소정 수로서 3의 자연수배의 상기 신호선을 포함하는 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 신호선 구동 회로는, 서로 다른 계조 기준 전압군을 발생하는 적어도 2개의 전압 발생기를 포함하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 전압 발생기를 독립적으로 사용하는 표시 화소를 3종류의 표시 화소의 중앙에 배치하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 전압 발생기를 독립적으로 사용하는 표시 화소에 대응한 신호선을 3종류의 표시 화소에 대응한 신호선의 중앙에 배치하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 신호선 구동 회로는, 짝수번째의 신호선 블록에 대응하는 DA 컨버터에 제1 전압 발생기를 접속하고, 홀수번째의 신호선 블록에 대응하는 DA 컨버터에 제2 전압 발생기를 접속하는 전환 회로를 포함하는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 신호선 구동 회로는, 제1 전압 발생기 혹은 제2 전압 발생기 중 어느 한쪽을 각 신호선 블록에 대응하는 DA 컨버터에 접속하는 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 신호선 구동 회로는 적색, 녹색 및 청색 화소용으로 3종류의 계조 기준 전압군을 각각 발생하는 3개의 기준 전압 발생기를 포함하는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 신호선 선택 회로가 상기 기판 상에 내장되는 표시 장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 DA 컨버터가 상기 기판 상에 더 내장되는 표시 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 전환 회로가 상기 기판에 더 내장되는 표시 장치.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 전압 발생기가 상기 기판에 더 내장되는 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 신호선 선택 회로는, 각 수평 주사 기간에서, 최초의 선택 기간에 인접하는 신호선 블록의 인접 신호선에 동시에 상기 아날로그 영상 신호를 공급하고, 상기 선택 기간에 이어지는 다음 선택 기간에서는 각 신호선 블록 내에서 인접하는 신호선을 순차적으로 선택하는 표시 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 신호선 선택 회로의 신호선 선택 순서는 소정 수평 주사 기간마다 역전되는 표시 장치.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 신호선 선택 회로의 신호선 선택 순서는 수직 주사 기간마다 역전되는 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 신호선 선택 회로의 신호선 선택 순서는 각 수평 주사 기간마다 역전되고, 또한 각 수직 주사 기간마다 역전되는 표시 장치.
