Claims (17)
- 서로 쌍을 이루며 배열된 다수의 주사 전극과 유지 전극을 포함하며, 상기 주사 전극들과 교차하도록 배열된 다수의 데이터 전극을 가지며, 다계조를 표현하기 위해 1TV 필드 동안 복수 개의 서브 필드를 가지는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법에 있어서,상기 유지 전극에 리셋 펄스 전압을 인가하는 리셋 단계,상기 주사 전극과 상기 유지 전극에 제1 전압을 번갈아 가면서 인가하여 유지 방전하는 유지 방전 단계, 그리고상기 유지 전극에 상기 제1 전압보다 낮은 제2 전압을 인가한 후 또는 상기 유지 전극에 인가된 상기 제1 전압의 일부를 제거한 후, 상기 제1 전압이 인가되기 전에 상기 주사 전극 및 상기 데이터 전극에 각각 제3 및 제4 전압을 인가하여 상기 유지 전극, 상기 데이터 전극, 그리고 상기 주사 전극으로 형성되는 셀 내부의 벽전하를 소거하는 소거 어드레싱 단계를 포함하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에서,상기 서로 쌍을 이루며 배열된 다수의 주사 전극과 유지 전극들을 i 개의 쌍 씩 j개의 그룹으로 나누어, 동일 그룹 내의 유지 전극들을 공통 결선하는 X전극 공통 라인을 j개 가지고, 상기 동일 그룹 내의 주사 전극들은 각각 서로 다른 i개의Y전극 공통 라인에 연결하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에서,상기 소거 어드레싱 단계는,상기 주사 전극 및 상기 데이터 전극에 각각 상기 제3 및 제4 전압을 동시에 인가하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제2항에서,상기 제3 전압은 상기 Y전극 공통 라인들에 인가되는 연속된 유지 방전 전압 펄스 사이에서 상기 Y전극 공통 라인들에 순차적으로 인가하는 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 구동 방법.
