成人用使い捨て外部失禁保護ガーメント、例えばブリー
フ、このようなおむつおよびブリーフ用のライナー、お
よび外部生理パッドに関する。ｙ！、に詳細には、本発
明は、繊維間結合を実質上火いた繊維塊からなる吸収性
芯（例えば、空気抄造芯およびエアフェルト芯など）を

トップシートの裏面に塗布することからなる使い捨てお

クエプを開示している。
即ち、使い捨ておむつの吸収性芯に好適である複数の繊
維状ウェブ、例えば空気抄造繊維状ウェブは、接着剤が
芯の内部であるスクリム（ｍａｒｉｍ　）を形成しかつ
芯の外方に面すする表面を接着剤を実質上書まないまま
（するように対向関係で一緒に接合される。これらの背

される。吸収性芯は、薄層とバックシートとの間に配置
され、そして薄層は、約０．８〜約ａ、’ｙｇフイの平
均重量を有する接着剤の開放パターン（ｏｐ＠ｎ　ｐａ
ｔｔ＠ｒｎ　）Ｋよって芯との対向関係（ｆａｅｓ　ｔ

剤フィラメント、接着剤ビーズダ６および６０の相対的
大きさ、および薄層の厚さは、本発明の明瞭化のためく
誇張されているが、好ましくは界面が開放直積ｔｏｔ４
以上、更に好ましくは１０−である時のトップ湿潤強度
ティシＳ２．１と吸収性芯コとの間の界面の誇張接近度
（ｄ＠ｇｒｓ・ｏｆａｌｏｓ＊ｄｎｅｓａ　）も図示す
る。追加的に、第１図は、吸収性芯コを構成する繊維と
第１図の接着剤網目ダテ、！コのフィラメントとの間の
相対的大°きさの関係を示さない。事実、接着剤フィラ
メントが繊維の直径と桁が大体等しい直径を有すること
；および網目の交錯または接合点が芯ｎの繊維の平均長
よりも実質上近く離間されていることが、好ましい。
基本的に、接着剤４（？の開放パターンを構成する少量
の接着剤は、吸収性または柔軟性に過度に悪影響を及ぼ
さずに一般にガーメント一体性を改善し、特に芯一体性
を増大する。更に詳細罠は、本発明の具体例は、芯亀裂
、スランピングおよびロービングに対して改善された抵
抗を有し；そして限定されたデータは、前記ブラウジン
グの減少が後述のようく要求湿潤性（ｄ＠ｍａｎｄ　ｗ
ｅｔａｂｉｌｌｔｙ）を改善す・ることを示す。勿論、
更なる改善は、前記の追加エレメントおよび接着剤の開
放パターンを具備する本発明の具体例において実現され
る。
再度第１図を参照すると、この構造の例示の使い捨てお
むつは、以下のものからなる。トップシートは、坪量約
ｌｊ〜約３０１１、／ｙｄを有する不織疎水性ポリエチ
レンである。トップ湿潤強度ティシェーおよびバック湿
潤強度ティシＺ−Ｕ−は、それぞれ芯Ｍの回り（包まれ
てその回りにエンベロープな形成する湿潤強度ティシユ
のシートの部分であり、モしてティシ為シートは芯とバ
ックシートとの間に配置された縦力向蔦出縁部分をオー
バーラツプし；そして湿潤強度ティシユは、坪量約／Ａ
〜約２ＪＩ　／ｍ’、および幅約λ、３４’（ｍの幅を
有する試料当たり約ｉｓｏ〜約ＩＩｏｏ　ｐの機械方向
湿潤引張強さ、および幅約−０５り二を有する試料当た
り約７ｊ〜約／２！ｆｉの機械交差方向湿潤引張強さを
有する。
このようなティシュペーパーは、吸収性芯の繊維が篩分
けられるのを回避するのに優秀であり、そして超吸収剤
粒状物からなる具体例においてはこのような粒状物が篩
分けられるのを回避するのにも優秀である。芯〃は、芯
の厚さを通して互いに実質上非結合であるセルロース繊
維の空気抄造マ゛ットであり、そしてマットは、坪量約
３１０９／ｙｉ〜約ｔ２ｑｏ　９／ｖｌ、およびその股
領域における密度的θ、０７１／ａｎ”およびその末端
領域くおける密度的０．０３９／ａｍ”を有する。バッ
クシートは、公称厚さ約ｌミル（約０．０８ダｍ）を有
する艶消仕上ポリエチレンである。接着剤ビーズ侘およ
び６０用に使用される接着剤は、ホットメルト接着剤で
あり；そして接着剤網目４Ｉ９および３コ用に使用され
る接着剤も、好ましくは感圧型のホットメルト接着剤で
ある。しかしながら、このようなパラメーターは、各種
の大きさ、容量などの本発明の具体例を与えるために変
化され得るので、本発明をこれらの材料または重量など
く限定しようとはしない。
第１図の接着剤網目４（？および！−を構成するのく好
ましい感圧ホットメルト接着剤は、ファインドレイ・ア
ドヘシプズ・インコーホレーテッドの接着剤仕様書ムｔ
ｗｏ　−３ｔｑによりて同定され、そして接着剤網目４
！９およびｊユを構成するのに好ましい非感圧ホットメ
ルト接着剤は、ナシロナル・スターチ・カンパニーから
入手できるストックムコ弘−２ｔ！７である。
前に使用されたような芯スランピングは、簡単には、水
平線を使い捨ておむつの芯の前縁および後縁上に引くこ
とによって測定される。平らなおむつは、水中に一分間
入れられ、半分ＫＵ字状に折られ、水から取り出され、
そしてＵ字状に折られた形状で腰バンド緑から評〜何時
間つるされる。
次いで、元の水平線と芯の後退縁との間のスランピング
距離が、測定される。
前に使用されるような芯ロービングは、使い捨ておむつ
を歩行動作を有する関節ダミー（ａｒｔｌａ−ｕｌａｔ
＠ｄ　ｄｕｍｍｙ）上罠固着することによって測定され
る。関節ダミーは、歩行屋動作をｊ分間有するよ５にさ
れる。次いで、おむつは、装置から取り外され、そして
芯は、幅減少、引裂および硬スポットについて測定され
る。芯の幅減少は、そのロービング度である。
前に使用されるような要求湿潤性は、簡単には、吸収能
力および湿潤速度な包含する用語である。
本質上、湿潤速度は、容積によって測定され、それによ
って部分能力を時間の関数として与え、そしてそれによ
って最後に全能力を与える。
超吸収剤と前に称されている吸収性粒状物についてここ
で言及すると、ヒドロゲル物質が、非常に有効である。
ここで使用する「ヒドロゲル」と１　　　　　　は、水
性流体を吸収しかつ中圧下でそれらを保持できる無機ま
たは有機化合物を意味する。良好な結果のためには、ヒ
ドロゲルは、水不溶性であるべきである。例は、シリカ
ゲルなどの無機物質および架橋重合体などの有機化合物
である。架橋は、共有結合、イオン結合、ファンデルワ
ールス結合、または水素結合によることができる。重合
体の例は、ポリアクリルアミド、ポリビニルアルコール
、エチレン−無水マレイン酸共重合体、ポリビニルエー
テル、ヒドロキシグロビルセルロース、カルボキシメチ
ルセルロース、ポリピエルモルホリノン、ビニルスルホ
ン酸の重合体および共重合体、ポリアクリレート、ポリ
アクリルアミド、ポリビニルピリジンなどを包含する。
他の好適なヒドロ　。
ゲルは、米国特許第３，９０／、２８号明細書に開示の
ものである。本発明で使用するのく特に好ましい重合体
は、加水分解アクリロニトリルグラフトデンプン、アク
リル酸グラフトデンプン、ポリアクリレート、およびイ
ソブチレン−無水マレイン酸共重合体、またはそれらの
混合物である。
ヒドロゲルを本発明で利用するという目的で、比較的乾
燥ヒドロゲル粒子が使用されることが、　　　　　　（
必須である。また、繊維、粒子も、−繊維と粒子との混
合物も、このプロセス時またはその後にも液状の水また
は別の溶媒にさらされるべきではない。
湿潤ヒドロゲル粒子が使用される時には、繊維は、粒子
と絡み合いかつ／または結合する傾向があり、このこと
は吸収性構造物の望ましくない剛さを生ずる。追加的に
、湿潤ヒドロゲル粒子は、それらの潜在吸収性が既に低
減されているので、明らかにより小さい吸収能を製品内
に有するであろう。
ここで使用する「乾燥」は、「絶対的に水を含まない」
ことを意味しない。例えば、通常の貯蔵および取扱条件
下においては、ヒドロゲル粒子は、若干の水分をとり上
げる。親水性繊維も、貯蔵時に若干の水分をとり上げる
。更に、繊維およびヒドロゲル粒子の空気輸送用に湿潤
空気を使用してダスト化を回避することが望ましいこと
がある。
このようなプロセス条件下においては、ヒドロゲル粒子
および繊維は、一層多い水分をとり上げるであろうが、
このようなことは、本発明の実施に過度に影響しないよ
うに限定されるべきである。
追加の別の具体例は、特に「発明の開示」の項目で前に
記載したような多少のエレメントを具備できる。限定し
ないが、例えば、このような別の具体例は、トップ湿潤
強度ティシェーを省略できる。この場合には、トップシ
ートは、特許請求の範囲に言及される液体透過性薄層で
ある。さもなげれば、勿論、特許請求の範囲の「液体透
過性薄層」は、内部薄層であり、そして好ましくは前記
のような湿潤強度ティシ為である。追加的に、または或
いは、他の別の具体例の各種の薄層は、接着剤ビーズ＃
６およびＪの配列よりもむしろ前記のような接着剤の多
数の小滴または接着剤のフィラメントの網目の追加の開
放パターンによって一緒に固着され得る。このような接
着剤の開放パターンは、このような接着剤ビーズによっ
て引き起こされる応力集中および剛さを回避する。
本発明の特定の具体例および別の具体例が図示されかつ
記載されているが、本発明の精神および範囲から逸脱せ
ずに各種の他の変形および修正を施すことができること
は、当業者に自明であろう。
それ故、本発明の範囲内であるすべてのこのような変形
および修正を特許請求の範囲でカバーすることが、意図
される。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、吸収性芯、液体透過性薄層、および液体不透過性バ
    ックシートを具備し、前記吸収性芯は実質上繊維間結合
    を欠いた繊維塊からなり、前記吸収性芯は前記薄層と前
    記バックシートとの間に配置され、そして約０．８〜約
    ４．７ｇ／ｍ＾２の平均重量を有する接着剤の開放パタ
    ーンで前記薄層との対向関係において接着固着されるこ
    とを特徴とする使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ２、前記の接着剤の開放パターンが、接着剤のフィラメ
    ントの網状網目からなる特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の
    使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ３、前記の接着剤の開放パターンが、接着剤の多数の小
    滴からなる特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の使い捨て排泄
    物収納ガーメント。 ４、前記の接着剤のフィラメントまたは小滴が、前記吸
    収性芯を構成する繊維の有効平均直径と桁が大体等しい
    有効直径を有する特許請求の範囲第２項または第３項に
    記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ５、前記の接着剤の開放パターンの重量が、約２〜約３
    ．６ｇ／ｍ＾２である特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の使
    い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ６、前記の接着剤の開放パターンの重量が、約３．１ｇ
    ／ｍ＾２である特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の使い捨て
    排泄物収納ガーメント。 ７、前記接着剤が、ホットメルト接着剤である特許請求
    の範囲第１項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ８、前記接着剤が、感圧接着剤である特許請求の範囲第
    １項または第７項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメン
    ト。 ９、更に少なくとも１つの液体透過性壁を有するエンベ
    ロープを具備し、そして前記吸収性芯が更に高液体透過
    性物の所定量のエレメントを具備し、前記芯が前記エン
    ベロープ内にシールされ、そして前記薄層が前記エンベ
    ロープの前記壁である特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の使
    い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 １０、前記所定量の前記高液体吸収性物の重量が、前記
    吸収性芯の約１０〜約２５重量％の範囲内である特許請
    求の範囲第９項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント
    。 １１、前記薄層の外方に面する表面が、前記ガーメント
    の着用者の皮膚と接触させようとする前記ガーメントの
    表面であり、そして前記ガーメントのトップシートと称
    される特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収
    納ガーメント。 １２、前記ガーメントが、更に液体透過性トップシート
    を具備し、そして前記薄層が、前記トップシートと前記
    吸収性芯との間に配置される特許請求の範囲第１項に記
    載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 １３、前記薄層および前記トップシートが、接着剤の他
    の開放パターンで対向関係において一緒に固着される特
    許請求の範囲第１２項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 １４、前記の接着剤の他の開放パターンが、約０．８〜
    約４．７ｇ／ｍ＾２の重量を有する特許請求の範囲第１
    ３項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 １５、前記吸収性芯を前記バックシートに接着固着する
    ように配置される接着剤の追加の開放パターンを更に具
    備し、前記の追加の開放パターンが接着剤のフィラメン
    トの網状網目である特許請求の範囲第１項、第９項、第
    １２項または第１３項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 １６、前記吸収性芯と前記バックシートとの間に配量さ
    れる他の液体透過性薄層を更に具備し、そして前記の他
    の液体透過性薄層が、接着剤の第一追加開放パターンで
    前記吸収性芯との対向関係において接着固着される特許
    請求の範囲第１項、第９項、第１２項または第１３項に
    記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 １７、前記の他の液体透過性薄層が、接着剤の第二追加
    開放パターンで前記バックシートにも接着固着される特
    許請求の範囲第１６項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 １８、前記の接着剤の第一および第二追加開放パターン
    が、接着剤のフィラメントの網状網目である特許請求の
    範囲第１７項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 １９、前記接着剤が、ホットメルト感圧接着剤である特
    許請求の範囲第１８項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 ２０、前記の接着剤の第一追加開放パターンが、接着剤
    のフィラメントの網状網目である特許請求の範囲第１６
    項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ２１、前記接着剤が、ホットメルト感圧接着剤である特
    許請求の範囲第２０項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 ２２、前記接着剤が、ホットメルト感圧接着剤である特
    許請求の範囲第９項、第１２項、第１３項または第１４
    項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ２３、前記の接着剤の開放パターンの両方が、接着剤の
    フィラメントの網状網目である特許請求の範囲第９項、
    第１２項、第１３項または第１４項に記載の使い捨て排
    泄物収納ガーメント。 ２４、前記接着剤が、ホットメルト感圧接着剤である特
    許請求の範囲第２３項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 ２５、前記の接着剤のフィラメントが、前記吸収性芯を
    構成する繊維の有効平均直径と桁が大体等しい有効直径
    を有する特許請求の範囲第２４項に記載の使い捨て排泄
    物収納ガーメント。 ２６、吸収性芯、液体透過性薄層、および液体不透過性
    バックシートを具備し、前記吸収性芯は実質上繊維間結
    合を欠いた繊維塊からなり、前記吸収性芯は前記薄層と
    前記バックシートとの間に配置され、そしてホットメル
    ト接着剤のフィラメントの網状網目で前記薄層との対向
    関係において接着固着されることを特徴とする使い捨て
    排泄物収納ガーメント。 ２７、前記薄層の外方に面する表面が、前記ガーメント
    の着用者の皮膚と接触させようとする前記ガーメントの
    表面であり、そして前記ガーメントのトップシートと称
    される特許請求の範囲第２６項に記載の使い捨て排泄物
    収納ガーメント。 ２８、前記ガーメントが、液体透過性トップシートを更
    に具備し、そして前記薄層が、前記トップシートと前記
    吸収性芯との間に配置される特許請求の範囲第２７項に
    記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。 ２９、前記薄層および前記トップシートが、接着剤の別
    の開放パターンで対向関係において一緒に固着される特
    許請求の範囲第２８項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 ３０、吸収性芯、液体透過性薄層、および液体不透過性
    バックシートを具備し、前記吸収性芯は実質上繊維間結
    合を欠いた繊維塊からなり、前記吸収性芯は前記薄層と
    前記バックシートとの間に配置され、かつ接着剤の開放
    パターンで前記薄層との対向関係において接着固着され
    、前記ガーメントは液体透過性トップシートを更に具備
    し、そして前記薄層は前記トップシートと前記吸収性芯
    との間に配置されることを特徴とする使い捨て排泄物収
    納ガーメント。 ３１、前記薄層および前記トップシートが、接着剤の別
    の開放パターンで対向関係において一緒に固着される特
    許請求の範囲第３０項に記載の使い捨て排泄物収納ガー
    メント。 ３２、前記液体透過性薄層の縁が、それらの間にシール
    される前記吸収性芯で前記バックシートにも接着固着さ
    れ、前記吸収性芯は所定量の高液体吸収性物のエレメン
    トを更に具備し、前記高液体吸収性物の前記所定量が前
    記吸収性芯の約１０〜約２５重量％の範囲内である特許
    請求の範囲第１２項、第２６項または第３０項に記載の
    使い捨て排泄物収納ガーメント。
