Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a high-purity treated-water at high speed and in a stable manner by a method wherein water to be treated is passed through double-filter membrane layer in which ion-exchange resin and ion-exchange resin particles are entangled, then the used filter membrane layer is separated by backwash and is removed.
CONSTITUTION: Slurry of ion-exchange resin particles prepared in the precoat tank 7 is sent to the filter tank 1, is uniformly distributed by the baffle 9, and precoated on the surface of filter element 4. Likewise, cationic or anionic exchange fibers are precoated on the upper layer so that a double-filter membrane layer is formed. Then, aqueous solution to be treated is passed through the filter tank 1. To treat the used filter membrane layer, mixture of compressed air and pressurized pure water is guided into the tank 1 through outlet pipe 6 and is passed from the inside to the outside of the filter element 4, so that the filter membrane layer is separated. Then, pressurized pure water is passed to discharge the separated filter membrane layer from the valve V9.
