Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out filtering treatment of a large amount of water and washing of a filter material by a method wherein plural filter bodies using a fibrous filter material are mounted to a partition plate of a filter tank and water to be treated is flowed from a lower part of said tank as well as air is blown from the lower part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid to be filtered is supplied to a filter chamber A of the filter tank 7 and flowed through each filter body 1 downwardly provided from the partition plate 12 in divided streams and filtered by a fibrous filter material 2 arranged to a flowing direction. In this case, rough particles in the liquid are caught to a leading end of a bundle 2 of the filter material and fine particles are caught to an interior of a filter material layer and the purified liquid is passed through a rectifying pipe 4 and flowed into a purifying chamber B to be taken out from a pipe 8. When the filter material is washed, a liquid supply pump 16 is stopped and an air vent valve 13 and an air blowing valve 17 are opened and air bubbling is carried out from a lower part of the filter body to shake the bundle 2 of the filter material and, thereby, the collected particles are released and removed.
