Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the using amount of back-wash water by passing the back- wash waste water discharged from a regenerating tower through an electromagnetic filter and circulatory using the treated water thus obtaned as back-wash water.
CONSTITUTION: The closed circulating system of back-wash water is formed by communicating the upper part of an anion regenerating tower 1 and a cation regenerating tower 2 and a back-wash waste water tank 3 by means of a piping 5, the tank 3 and the upper part of an electromagnetic filter 4 by a pipe 6 and the lower part of the filter 4 and the lower part of both regenerating towers 1, 2 by a water distributing pipe 7. The mixed ion exchange resins having been used are separated and are respectively put into the towers 1, 2. At the same time, the back-wash wast water produced at that time is sent into the tank 3 to be stored therein, after which the pressure air from an air pipe 9 is sent into the towers 1, 2 from their bottoms to perform scrubbing. Thence, the back-wash waste water in the tank 3 is passed through the electromagnetic filter 4 to get rid of the magnetic suspended solids in the waste water. The treated water thus obtained is passed into the towers 1, 2 from their lower parts. The back-wash waste water produced is recovered into the tank 3; thereafter, the back-wash water is circulatory used in accordance with the above- mentioned closed circulating system in the similar manner.
