Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a reasonable high-concentrating process under a high separating capability by a method wherein a solution is circulated while being supplied and returned via a rotating shaft to a selectively permeable membrane-type separation-module which is rotating, during which the rotational speed is increased with increased concentration.
CONSTITUTION: The switch valves 9d, 51 are switched so that solution is supplied to fill a first tank 5b, which is then connected to the feed 5j. By controlling the motor 7b with the signal generator 7a, the rotary shaft 3 is rotated at a specified speed the solution is supplied through the feed pump 8e to the separation module 4 at a specified speed, and is separated into permeated water and concentrated water, while maintaining the specified pressure with centrifugal force of rotation. The permeated water is discharged through the outlet 4r to the outside of the module 4, passes through water tray 10a and water-collecting means 10 while the concentrated water is returned to the tank 5b through liquid-containing section 3b. The rotation speed of the shaft 3 is increased by the device 7a depending on the degree of concentration, the amount of solution supplied is maintained at a constant value by controlling the pump 8e through the signal generator 8a. During concentration process, the solution is supplied to the second tank 5c so that the solution can be continuously concentrated.
