Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de séparation à grande échelle par osmose inverse. L'appareil comprend deux rotors tournant dans le même sens autour d'un axe central. Le premier rotor tourne à grande vitesse et comporte une turbine servant de pompe d'accélération du fluide à traiter. Le second rotor tourne à plus faible vitesse et a une chambre sous pression contenant des membranes semi-perméables solidaires d'un diffuseur (rotatif) de la pompe d'alimentation. L'appareil est applicable au dessalement et à la purification de l'eau par osmose inverse, au traitement de déchets liquides et à l'élimination de l'eau des produits alimentaires.A method and apparatus for large-scale reverse osmosis separation is disclosed. The apparatus comprises two rotors rotating in the same direction around a central axis. The first rotor rotates at high speed and comprises a turbine serving as an acceleration pump for the fluid to be treated. The second rotor rotates at a lower speed and has a pressure chamber containing semi-permeable membranes integral with a (rotary) diffuser of the feed pump. The apparatus is applicable to desalination and reverse osmosis water purification, liquid waste treatment and water removal from food products.
