Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a miniature microprogram control circuit by obtaining only the storage address of a 2nd-step microinstruction from a 2nd storage circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Address selector circuit 60 selects instruction code 201 as 1st address 600 and a microinstruction of the 1st step is read out as microinstruction 120 from 1st storage circuit 10 and then executed. The 2nd address 320, the output of the 2nd storage circuit 30, is selected and the 2nd-step microinstruction is read out as microinstruction 120 from the 1st storage circuit 10 and then executed. After the 3rd step, the address addition circuit selects the 3rd address 500 of the result of the addition of a value fixed to the 1st address of the preceding step, and the 1st storage circuit 10 reads out as microinstruction 120 microinstructions after the 3rd step and then executes them in sequence. In this way, the effective use of the memory region can be attained easily and the hard-ware can also be reduced.
