Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to branch to an arbitrary address by giving a function, where the branch destination is designated by an address, to another micro instruction which is not concerned with the branch destination address at all.
CONSTITUTION: When an extended branch micro instruction is set to CM read data register 11, the C field is decoded by decoder 13, and control flip flop 14 becomes "1" by the output, and a part of the C field is stored in indirect CM address register 12. Next, when an unconditional branch micro instruction is set to CM read data register 11, contents of indirect CM address register 12 are stored in a part of CM upper address register 5 by the unconditional branch designation of the T field. Normally, a part of CM upper address register 5 is always stored in indirect CM address register 12.
