Claims (3)
- ワークを把持する主軸と、
前記主軸を該主軸の軸線に平行なZ軸方向に直交するX軸方向に移動させる主軸X軸移動機構と、
前記ワークを加工する刃具が装着された刃物台と、
前記刃物台をX軸方向に移動させる刃物台X軸移動機構と、を有し、
前記刃物台に、前記刃具を旋回させる旋回機構を設けた工作機械であって、
前記旋回機構によって前記刃具を所望の旋回角度に旋回させたときの前記刃具のX軸方向の移動距離XAを算出する算出手段と、
前記算出手段により算出された前記移動距離XAに応じて前記刃具に追従して前記主軸がX軸方向に移動するように前記主軸X軸移動機構の作動を制御する制御手段と、を有し、
前記制御手段が、前記算出手段により算出された前記移動距離XAが、前記刃物台のX軸方向への最大移動距離XMよりも大きい場合に、前記刃物台をX軸方向に距離XMだけ移動し、前記主軸をX軸方向に距離(XA-XM)だけ移動した後に、前記刃具を旋回させるように、前記主軸X軸移動機構、前記刃物台X軸移動機構及び前記旋回機構の作動を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする工作機械。 - 前記移動距離XAに応じた前記主軸のX軸方向への移動の際に、前記制御手段が、前記刃物台をX軸方向に移動させるように、前記刃物台X軸移動機構の作動を制御する請求項1に記載の工作機械。
- 前記主軸が正面主軸に対向する背面主軸であり、
前記刃物台に、前記正面主軸に把持されたワークを加工するための正面側刃具が前記刃具に対して刃先を反対方向に向けて装着されており、
前記旋回機構の旋回軸が前記正面側刃具の刃先に設定されている、請求項1または2に記載の工作機械。
