Description
いくつかの実施形態において、エレクトロクロミック(EC)デバイスは、EC積層膜を横切る電位差(本明細書において「電位差」とも称される)に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、別個の透過パターン間で切り替わるように構造化されているEC積層膜を含む。ECデバイスは、EC積層膜の両側の導電層を含むことができ、当該両導電層に印加される別個の電圧は、EC積層膜を横切る電位差を誘導することができる。
図10は、いくつかの実施形態による、ECデバイスであって、EC積層膜と、EC積層膜の両側の隣接導電層と、熱源に接続されていて、EC積層膜のいくつかまたは全てを加熱するように構造化されている基材とを含む上記デバイスを示す。ECデバイス1000は、EC積層体1010と、EC積層体1010の隣接面を横切って受け取った熱を均一に分布させるように構造化されている熱伝導層1020と、熱1050を熱伝導層1030内に排出して均一に分布させるように構造化されている熱源1030とを含む。ECデバイス1000は、図9に示されているECデバイス900を含めた、本明細書においていずれかの箇所に示されている1つ以上の種々のECデバイスに含まれ得る。
図11A〜Cは、いくつかの実施形態による、エンドユーザーデバイスであって、ECデバイスと、ECデバイスの加熱をエンドユーザーデバイスとのエンドユーザーインタラクションに関連するトリガー事象に少なくとも部分的に基づいて制御するように構造化されている制御システムとを含む上記エンドユーザーデバイスを示す。
Claims (15)
- エレクトロクロミック(EC)積層膜の両側に、少なくとも2つの別個の導電層を含むエレクトロクロミックデバイス;
を含む装置であって、
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスが、前記少なくとも2つの別個の導電層の少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の残余領域と比較して選択的に加熱するように構造化されている、前記装置。 - 前記少なくとも2つの別個の導電層のそれぞれが、少なくとも1つの電極セットを含み、前記少なくとも1つの電極セットが、前記それぞれの導電層の異なる領域に接続されている少なくとも2つの電極を含んでおり;
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスが、前記少なくとも2つの導電層の別個の導電層に接続されている別個の電極間で、前記少なくとも1つの導電層と垂直に電位差を誘導して、前記EC積層膜の1つ以上の領域の透過レベルを切り替えるように構造化されており;
少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を、残余領域と比較して選択的に加熱するために、前記少なくとも1つの導電層が、前記少なくとも1つの導電層に接続されている少なくとも2つの別個の電極間で、前記少なくとも1つの導電層と平行に電位差を誘導するように構造化されている、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスが、前記EC積層膜の短絡を含み、前記短絡が、前記短絡を通して誘導される電流に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記短絡の近位にある前記EC積層膜の少なくとも一部を加熱するように構造化されており;
少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の残余領域と比較して選択的に加熱するために、前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスが、前記少なくとも1つの導電層を少なくとも介して前記EC積層膜の前記短絡を通る電流を誘導するように構造化されている、請求項2に記載の装置。 - 前記少なくとも2つの別個の導電層の前記少なくとも1つの導電層が、前記ECデバイスの加熱に関連する第1シート抵抗を含むように構造化されており;
前記少なくとも2つの別個の導電層の少なくとも1つの他の導電層が、前記EC積層膜の前記短絡を通る前記電流を制限するように構造化されており、ここで、前記EC積層膜の前記短絡を通る前記電流を制限するために、前記少なくとも1つの他の導電層が、前記第1シート抵抗より大きい第2シート抵抗を有する少なくとも1つの領域を含んでいる、請求項3に記載の装置。 - 前記少なくとも2つの別個の導電層の前記少なくとも1つの導電層が、少なくとも1つの中間層、および前記EC積層膜に隣接する別の導電層によって前記EC積層膜から隔てられており、ここで、前記少なくとも1つの導電層が、前記中間層を介して前記別の導電層に接続されている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電層が、前記少なくとも1つの導電層に接続されている少なくとも1つの電極セットを含み、ここで、それぞれの電極セットが、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の異なる領域に接続されている少なくとも2つの電極を含んでおり;
前記特定の限定領域の境界が、前記少なくとも1つの導電層に接続されている少なくとも2つの電極によって少なくとも部分的に確立されている、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの導電層の前記特定の限定領域のシート抵抗が、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の前記残余領域のシート抵抗より大きい、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電層の前記特定の限定領域の前記シート抵抗が、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の幾何学的構造に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の前記残余領域の前記シート抵抗より大きい、請求項7に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも2つの導電層間に位置するエレクトロクロミック(EC)積層膜を含むエレクトロクロミックデバイスを、前記少なくとも2つの導電層の少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を選択的に加熱するように構造化し、その結果、前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスが、前記少なくとも1つの導電層の前記特定の限定領域の選択的加熱に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記EC積層膜の少なくとも一部の透過レベル切り替え速度を増加させるように構造化されるようにすること
を含む方法。 - 前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスを、前記少なくとも2つの導電層の少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を選択的に加熱するように構造化することが:
前記特定の限定領域を特定のシート抵抗を含むように構造化することと、
前記残余領域を別のシート抵抗を含むように構造化することと
を含み、
前記特定のシート抵抗が、前記別のシート抵抗より大きい、請求項9に記載の方法。 - エレクトロクロミックデバイスを、少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を選択的に加熱するように構造化することが:
少なくとも1つの中間層を介して、前記EC積層膜に接続されている別の導電層に前記少なくとも1つの導電層を接続すること
を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスを、少なくとも1つの導電層の特定の限定領域を選択的に加熱するように構造化することが:
前記EC積層膜の短絡を設置することと;
前記エレクトロクロミックデバイスを、前記少なくとも1つの導電層を少なくとも介して前記EC積層膜の前記短絡の電流を誘導するように構造化することと
を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 導電層において、前記導電層の特定の限定領域において熱を発生させてエレクトロクロミック(EC)積層膜の少なくとも相当する領域を選択的に加熱するように構造化されている前記導電層を含む装置。
- 前記導電層が、中間層を介して、前記EC積層膜に隣接する別の導電層との接続を介して前記EC積層膜に接続されている、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記導電層の前記特定の限定領域のシート抵抗が、前記導電層の前記残余領域のシート抵抗より大きい、請求項13に記載の装置。
