Claims (30)
- 酸素及び二酸化炭素を減損させた血液を貯蔵するための血液保存装置であって、
二酸化炭素に対して実質的に不浸透性の外側容器と、
赤血球との混和性があり、前記外側容器内に位置している内側容器と、
前記外側容器内に位置している脱二酸化炭素剤と、
を備え、前記血液保存装置が血液を二酸化炭素の減損した状態に保つ、血液保存装置。 - 前記脱二酸化炭素剤は、前記外側容器と前記内側容器との間に位置している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記脱二酸化炭素剤は、前記脱二酸化炭素剤とは異なる二酸化炭素浸透性物質で形成されている小袋、パッチ、又は、被覆の内部に位置している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記小袋は、櫛の形状をしている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記二酸化炭素浸透性物質は、ポリマー又はポリマーの組み合わせである、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記脱二酸化炭素剤は、金属酸化物と金属水酸化物とからなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記内側容器及び前記外側容器は、ポリマーから形成されている袋である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記内側容器は、塩化ビニールポリマーから形成され、かつ、前記外側容器は、ナイロンポリマーから形成される、請求項7に記載の装置。
- カートリッジと、
前記カートリッジ内で前記カートリッジの入口から出口まで延在し、酸素及び二酸化炭素の両方に対して浸透性である物質で形成され、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
前記カートリッジ内に詰め込まれ、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜に接触し、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜の間に挟まれている脱酸素剤及び脱二酸化炭素剤両方と、
を備える酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置。 - 前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜は、実質的に平行であり、前記カートリッジ内で前記入口から前記出口まで縦方向に配置されている、請求項9に記載の装置。
- フラッシングガスを受け入れ、放出するために適している吸気口及び排気口を有している固体物質の容器と、
前記容器内で前記容器の入口から出口まで延在し、酸素及び二酸化炭素の両方に対して浸透性である物質で形成され、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
を備える酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置。 - 前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜は、実質的に平行であり、前記容器内で前記入口から前記出口まで縦方向に配置されている、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記容器の前記吸気口と連通しているフラッシングガスの供給源を更に含む、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置の中に赤血球を通過させることを備え、
前記装置は、
カートリッジと、
前記カートリッジ内で前記カートリッジの入口から出口まで延在し、酸素及び二酸化炭素の両方に対して浸透性である物質で形成され、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
前記カートリッジ内に詰め込まれ、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜に接触し、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜の間にある脱酸素剤及び脱二酸化炭素剤と、
を備える、赤血球から酸素及び二酸化炭素を除去する方法。 - 酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置の中に赤血球を通過させることを備え、
前記装置は、
フラッシングガスを受け入れ、放出するために適している吸気口及び排気口を有している固体物質の容器と、
前記容器内で前記容器の入口から出口まで延在し、酸素及び二酸化炭素の両方に対して浸透性である物質で形成され、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
を備える、赤血球から酸素及び二酸化炭素を除去する方法。 - 赤血球の採取袋と、
酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置と、
赤血球の保存袋と、
前記採取袋を前記酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置に接続するチュービングと、前記酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置を前記保存袋に接続するチュービングと、
を備え、前記酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置は、
カートリッジと、
前記カートリッジ内で前記カートリッジの入口から出口まで延在し、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
前記カートリッジ内に詰め込まれ、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜に接触し、前記1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜の間にある脱酸素剤及び脱二酸化炭素剤両方と、
を備える、血液保存システム。 - 赤血球の採取袋と、
酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置と、
赤血球の保存袋と、
前記採取袋を前記酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置に接続するチュービングと、前記酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置を前記保存袋に接続するチュービングと、
を備え、前記減損装置は、
フラッシングガスを受け入れ、放出するために適している吸気口及び排気口を有している固体物質の容器と、
前記容器内で前記容器の入口から出口まで延在し、酸素及び二酸化炭素の両方に対して浸透性である物質で形成され、赤血球を受け入れ、運搬するのに適している1つ以上のガス浸透性フィルム又はガス浸透性膜と、
を備える、血液保存システム。 - 積層から形成され、赤血球を保持及び保存するために適した容器を備え、前記積層は、(a)酸素及び二酸化酸素の両方に対して実質的に不浸透性の物質の外層と、(b)赤血球との混和性がある物質の内層と、(c)前記外層と前記内層との間にあり、脱酸素剤及び脱二酸化炭素剤の両方が混合されている物質でできている間質層とを有している、血液保存装置。
- 赤血球の採取袋と、
酸素及び二酸化炭素を減損させ、赤血球から白血球を削減する単一装置と、
赤血球の保存袋と、
前記採取袋を前記単一装置へ接続するチュービングと、前記単一装置を前記保存袋へ接続するチュービングと、
を備える血液保存システム。 - 前記単一装置がさらに血小板削減を備える、請求項19に記載の血液保存システム。
- 実質的に二酸化炭素を浸透させない前記外側容器が実質的に酸素を浸透させず、かつさらに前記外側容器又は前記内側容器内に位置する脱酸素剤を備える、請求項1に記載の血液保存装置。
- 前記脱酸素剤が前記外側容器及び前記内側容器の間に位置する、請求項21に記載の装置。
- 前記脱二酸化炭素剤及び前記脱酸素剤が、小袋、パッチ、又は前記脱二酸化炭素剤及び脱酸素剤とは異なる二酸化炭素及び酸素浸透性物質から形成される被覆内に位置する、請求項21に記載の装置。
- 塩化ビニールポリマーから形成された前記内側容器がさらにフタル酸ビス(2−エチルヘキシル)(DEHP)を含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 塩化ビニールポリマーから形成された前記内側容器がさらにフタル酸ビス(2−エチルヘキシル)(DEHP)を含まない、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記外側容器及び前記内側容器が、積層をなす、請求項1に記載の血液保存装置。
- 二酸化炭素レベルを低く維持することで、DPG(2−3,ビスホスホグリセリン酸)レベルが高く維持され、かつ、ヘモグロビンへの酸素の親和性が低減される、請求項1又は18に記載の血液保存装置。
- 二酸化炭素レベルを低く維持することで、DPG(2−3,ビスホスホグリセリン酸)レベルが高く維持され、かつ、ヘモグロビンへの酸素の親和性が低減される、請求項9又は11に記載の酸素及び二酸化炭素減損装置。
- 二酸化炭素レベルを低く維持することで、DPG(2−3,ビスホスホグリセリン酸)レベルが高く維持され、かつ、ヘモグロビンへの酸素の親和性が低減される、請求項14又は15に記載の赤血球から酸素及び二酸化炭素を除去する方法。
- 二酸化炭素レベルを低く維持することで、DPG(2−3,ビスホスホグリセリン酸)レベルが高く維持され、かつ、ヘモグロビンへの酸素の親和性が低減される、請求項16、17又は19に記載の血液保存システム。
