Description
Al4O4Cを15質量%以上60質量%以下、金属としてのAl成分を1.2質量%以上10.0質量%以下含有し、残部がAl2O3、フリーのC及び他の耐火性成分からなる鋳造用耐火物において、Al4O4C、Al2O3及び金属としてのAl成分の合計が85質量%以上であって、Al4O4Cの含有量(Al4O4C)と金属としてのAl成分の含有量(Al)とフリーのCの含有量(C)とが下記の式1及び式2の関係を満たすことを特徴とする、鋳造用耐火物。
1.0≦C/(Al4O4C×0.038+Al×0.33) …式1
1.0≧C/(Al4O4C×0.13+Al×0.67) …式2
前記Al4O4Cの結晶の大きさが、Al4O4Cの結晶の断面積を円に換算したときの平均直径で20μm以上である、前記1に記載の鋳造用耐火物。
前記残部の他の耐火性成分が、MgO、SiO2、正方晶又は単斜晶のZrO2、SiC、B4C、BN、Si3N4及び金属Siの群から選択する1又は複数である、前記1又は前記2に記載の鋳造用耐火物。
前記金属としてのAl成分の含有量に対する質量割合で10%以上200%以下の金属Siを含有する、前記1から前記3のいずれかに記載の鋳造用耐火物。
前記1から前記4に記載のいずれかの鋳造用耐火物を一部又は全部に配設した、鋳造用ノズル又はSNプレート。

(1)かさ比重:JIS−R−2205に準じる。
(2)熱膨張率:JIS−R−2207に準じる。
実施例Aは耐火物中のAl4O4Cの含有量について調査した例である。表3にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。
実施例Bは耐火物中のAl4O4C、Al2O3及び金属としてのAl成分の合計含有量について調査した例である。表4にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。
実施例CはフリーのC含有量にかかる、前記式1及び式2について調査した例である。表5にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。
実施例DはAl4O4Cを含有する原料として、その原料の製造方法並びにAl4O4C結晶の結晶サイズ及びその原料粒度(トップサイズ)の影響を調査した例である。表6にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。なお、Al4O4C結晶の結晶サイズ(結晶の大きさ)とは、Al4O4C結晶の断面積を円に換算したときの平均直径をいう。言い換えれば、各Al4O4C結晶の断面積を円に換算したときの各円の直径の平均値をいう。
実施例Eは金属Siの影響を調査した例である。表7にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。
実施例Fは本発明の耐火物をSNプレートに適用して実機のSN装置にて試用した例を示す。表8にこれら各例の構成と結果を示す。
Claims (5)
- Al4O4Cを15質量%以上60質量%以下、金属としてのAl成分を1.2質量%以上10.0質量%以下含有し、残部がAl2O3、フリーのC及び他の耐火性成分からなる鋳造用耐火物において、Al4O4C、Al2O3及び金属としてのAl成分の合計が85質量%以上であって、Al4O4Cの含有量(Al4O4C)と金属としてのAl成分の含有量(Al)とフリーのCの含有量(C)とが下記の式1及び式2の関係を満たすことを特徴とする、鋳造用耐火物。
1.0≦C/(Al4O4C×0.038+Al×0.33) …式1
1.0≧C/(Al4O4C×0.13+Al×0.67) …式2 - 前記Al4O4Cの結晶の大きさが、Al4O4Cの結晶の断面積を円に換算したときの平均直径で20μm以上である、請求項1に記載の鋳造用耐火物。
- 前記残部の他の耐火性成分が、MgO、SiO2、正方晶又は単斜晶のZrO2、SiC、B4C、BN、Si3N4及び金属Siの群から選択する1又は複数である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の鋳造用耐火物。
- 前記金属としてのAl成分の含有量に対する質量割合で10%以上200%以下の金属Siを含有する、請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載の鋳造用耐火物。
- 請求項1から請求項4に記載のいずれかの鋳造用耐火物を一部又は全部に配設した、鋳造用ノズル又はスライディングノズル用プレート。
