Description
しかし、近年の各種機械システムの高性能化・小型化・軽量化に伴い、機械要素にかかる負荷は増大傾向にあり、従来のグリースでは起動性、耐焼付き性、耐摩耗性、低摩擦性等の点で必ずしも十分ではなく、機械要素の高性能化、小型化及び長寿命化を達成するためには改善の余地がある。より具体的には、低せん断時の粘性抵抗が高いため、起動ロスが大きく、また高せん断時の粘度低下により、油膜切れが生じやすく、摺動部の摩擦摩耗が課題であった。
なお、本発明で言う40℃における動粘度とはJIS K 2283に準拠して測定される値である。
カルボン酸金属塩を構成するカルボン酸としては、脂肪酸に代表される炭素数2〜24、好ましくは4〜20のカルボン酸が挙げられる。当該脂肪酸は直鎖状であっても分枝状であっても良く、飽和であっても不飽和であっても良い。これらカルボン酸は単独で使用しても良く、2種以上を併用しても良い。
なお、本発明において、カルボン酸にはカルボキシル基を2以上有する多カルボン酸も含まれる。また、本発明においては、カルボン酸に水酸基を1つ以上有するヒドロキシカルボン酸も含まれる。
非分散型粘度指数向上剤としては、具体的には、炭素数1〜30のアルキルアクリレートまたはアルキルメタクリレート、炭素数2〜20のオレフィン、スチレン、メチルスチレン、無水マレイン酸エステル、無水マレイン酸アミド等から選ばれる1種又は2種以上のモノマーの単独あるいは共重合体あるいはそれらの水素化物等が例示できる。
分散型粘度指数向上剤としては、ジメチルアミノメチルメタクリレート、ジエチルアミノメチルメタクリレート、ジメチルアミノエチルメタクリレート、ジエチルアミノエチルメタクリレート、2−メチル−5−ビニルピリジン、モルホリノメチルメタクリレート、モルホリノエチルメタクリレート、及びN−ビニルピロリドン等から選ばれる1種又は2種以上のモノマーの単独重合体あるいは共重合体又はそれらの水素化物に酸素含有基を導入したものと、非分散型粘度指数向上剤のモノマー成分との共重合体、或いはその水素化物等が例示できる。
また、摺動部への塗布性の点から、粘度Aは1Pa・s以上であることが好ましく、1.5Pa・s以上がより好ましい。
また機械要素の摺動抵抗の点から、粘度Bは5Pa・s以下であることが好ましく、3Pa・s以下がより好ましく、2Pa・s以下がさらに好ましい。
本発明の潤滑剤組成物は、これら機械要素、機械システムを含む産業機械、輸送機械に好適に用いられ、省エネルギー化・長寿命化・小型化・軽量化に貢献することができる。

数平均分子量:5000
表1および表2に各種潤滑剤組成物の組成および性能を記載した。基油の配合量(質量%)、各添加剤の添加量(質量%)は潤滑剤組成物全量基準である。組成物は、表1または表2に記載された配合量の潤滑油基油に各添加剤を添加し、撹拌しながら200℃で30分加温し、これを徐冷することで得た。得られた各組成物の各種性能を下記の方法により評価した。
各組成物を調製後、組成物の状態を目視で確認した。分離が確認された組成物に関しては以降の評価は行わなかった。
コーンプレート型回転粘度計(Thermo Scientific社製、HAAKE Viscotester550型、回転子PK2−1°)を用いて、測定部位に調製した各組成物をおいて静置し、温度が30℃に均一になった状態で、せん断速度50s−1における粘度(粘度A)および4000s−1における粘度(粘度B)をそれぞれ測定した。
直径24mm、厚さ7mmで表面をラッピング加工した平板(材質SUJ−2)2枚のそれぞれ片面に各組成物を0.1g塗布し、塗布した面同士を重ね合わせた。これに荷重500Nの負荷を5秒間掛け放置したのち、2枚の平板を引き剥がすのに要する力(粘着力)をトルク計にて測定した。粘着力が20N以上となった組成物を合格と評価した。
LFW−1(ブロックオンリング、材質SUJ−2)を用いて、各組成物を用いた場合の摩擦係数(組成物の潤滑性)を解析した。試験条件は以下の通りである。
温度:開始30℃、以降成り行き
油量:1g(初期油膜厚さとしては1mmに相当)
荷重:100N
上記条件の下、摺動速度が0.01m/s(低速)の場合および1m/s(高速)の場合の2条件で測定した。測定された摩擦係数が0.15以下である組成物は潤滑性に非常に優れると判断した。
なお、摩擦係数が0.3以上となった場合は異常摩擦となり焼付が発生するため試験を中止した。
Claims (5)
- 40℃における動粘度が10〜1000mm 2 /sである潤滑油基油、粘度平均分子量2万〜4万のポリイソブチレンである炭化水素ポリマーおよびカルボン酸リチウム塩、カルボン酸カルシウム塩およびカルボン酸アルミニウム塩から選ばれる少なくとも1種のカルボン酸金属塩を含有し、低せん断速度(50s−1)の30℃における粘度Aが10Pa・s以下であり、高せん断速度(4000s−1)の30℃における粘度Bが0.5Pa・s以上であり、かつ、粘度Aと粘度Bの比(粘度A/粘度B)が15以下であることを特徴とする潤滑剤組成物。
- 潤滑油基油の40℃における動粘度が30〜300mm2/sであり、炭化水素ポリマーの含有量が1〜10質量%であり、カルボン酸金属塩の含有量が3〜10質量%であり、かつ、カルボン酸金属塩がカルボン酸リチウム塩であり、カルボン酸金属塩のカルボン酸が炭素数4〜20のカルボン酸のみであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 潤滑油基油の含有量が60〜97質量%、炭化水素ポリマーの含有量が1〜20質量%、およびカルボン酸金属塩の含有量が2〜20質量%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 軸受、歯車、運動ねじ、ウォームラック、カム、クラッチ、ベルト、チェーンおよびワイヤロープから選ばれる少なくとも1つの機械要素の潤滑に用いられることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の潤滑剤組成物。
- 軸受、歯車、運動ねじ、ウォームラック、カム、クラッチ、ベルト、チェーンおよびワイヤロープから選ばれる少なくとも1つの機械要素の表面に請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の潤滑剤組成物が5mm以下の厚さで塗布された機械要素を有することを特徴とする機械システム。
