この実施例において他に記載がない限り、%表示は重量%に関する。イオン液体の添加により、残りの基油のパーセント割合は、他に記載がない限り相応して低下する。
グリース組成物の製造のために、基油としてトリメリト/ピロメリト酸エステルからなる混合物77質量%、イオン液体としてのMPBイミド10質量%、増粘剤としてポリ尿素又は二尿素8質量%及び添加物として腐食防止剤、酸化防止剤及び摩耗防止剤5質量%を混合する。このイオン液体は、基油中で前記増粘剤のin situ製造の後で混合され、高圧ホモジナイザー、三本ロール機又は他の適当な方法を用いて均質化する。

で、本発明によるグリース組成物が、転がり軸受用グリースのための騒音試験の要求及びDIN基準を満たすだけでなく、この値を大きく上回る結果を示した。
グリース組成物の製造のために、基油としてのポリ−α−オレフィンからなる混合物79質量%、増粘剤としてのリチウム単純セッケン17質量%、添加物4質量%からなるグリースに、さらにイオン液体としてMPBイミド10〜30質量%を添加する。このイオン液体は、冷間で、リチウムセッケングリースのin situ製造の後にベース油に添加し、撹拌し、均質化にロール処理した。
この実施例中で、合成炭化水素、合成エステル、芳香族ジイソシアナート、脂肪族モノアミンからなる転がり軸受用グリースに基づき標準グリースを製造し、これにMBPイミド10%を添加して、ROF転がり軸受用グリース試験装置中で試験する。この試験を用いて調査されたグリース組成物の寿命を測定し、かつグリースの高い使用温度を転がり軸受中で高い回転数でかつ標準的に低い軸方向及び半径方向の荷重で測定する。試験軸受として、深溝ボールベアリング6204−2Z−C3/VM104を使用し、前記ボールベアリングはアキシャル荷重で100N及びラジアル荷重で200Nの負荷、180001/minの回転数、160℃の温度にさらし、並びに1.5cm3の充填量で負荷した。イオン液体なしの前記グリース組成物は、186時間のL50値を有するが、前記グリース組成物は717時間のL50値を有することを示す。これは、イオン液体を有するグリース組成物の寿命の明らかな改善を示す。
この実施例中では、DIN51350によるVKA溶接力を測定する。このために、合成エステル、ペルフルオロポリエーテル(PFPE)、芳香族ジイソシアナート及び脂肪族及び芳香族アミンからなる混合物からなる転がり軸受用グリースを使用した。次のグリース組成物を、次にVKA−溶接力試験にかけた。
グリース1: ペルフルオロポリエーテルを有する標準
グリース2: 2.5%EMIMイミドを有するペルフルオロポリエーテルなしの標準

この実施例中では、DIN51350によるVKA溶接力を測定する。このために、標準組成として合成エステル、芳香族ジイソシアナート及び脂肪族アミンからなる転がり軸受用グリースを使用した。次のグリース組成物を、次にVKA−溶接力試験にかけた。

さらに、イオン液体の添加により温度負荷でのグリースの硬化が抑制できるかどうかを試験した。
この実施例において、イオン液体を添加する場合のホイールベアリンググリースの改善を調査する。特に貨物自動車用のホイールベアリングは、熱的にも荷重に関しても高い要求が課せられている。前記車両は、例えば山道の下り走行の際に常にブレーキをかけなければならない場合、特に高い熱的負荷が生じる。この負荷のシミュレーションのために、周期的温度切り替えを特徴とするFE8転がり軸受試験を実施する。

Claims (8)
- (a) 工業用潤滑剤にとって通常の粘度を有する油をベースとする基油であって、単独成分として又は任意の混合物で、脂肪族又は芳香族のジカルボン酸、トリカルボン酸又はテトラカルボン酸と、単独で又は混合物で存在するC7〜C22−アルコールとのエステル、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリトリット又はジペンタエリトリットと脂肪族C7〜C22−カルボン酸とのエステル、C7〜C22−アルコールとのC18−ダイマー酸エステル、複合エステルからなるか、又はポリ−α−オレフィンから選択される基油、
(b) トリヘキシル(テトラデシル)ホスホニウム−ビス(トリフルオロメチルスルホニル)イミド、N−エチル−3−メチルピリジニウム−ノナ−フルオロブタンスルホナート、ブチルメチルピロリジニウム−ビス(トリフルオロメチルスルホニル)イミド、1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウム−(ビス)トリフルオロメチルスルホニルイミド、1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムエチルスルファートからなるグループから選択されるイオン液体又は複数のイオン液体からなる混合物1〜10質量%、
(c) 単独で又は組み合わせて使用することができる2,4−ジイソシアナトトルエン、2,6−ジイソシアナトトルエン、4,4′−ジイソシアナトジフェニルメタンからなるグループから選択されるジイソシアナートと、一般式R′2N−Rのアミン(式中、Rは、アリール基、2〜22個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基又はアルキレン基であり、R′は、同じ又は異なり、水素、アルキル基、アルキレン基又はアリール基である)との反応生成物、又は金属セッケン、金属錯体セッケンからなるグループから選択される増粘剤3〜50質量%
及び
(d) 腐食防止剤、酸化防止剤、摩擦防止剤、摩擦を低下させる剤、金属の影響に対する保護剤、UV安定剤、ポリイミド、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、黒鉛、金属酸化物、窒化ホウ素、二硫化モリブデン及びリン酸塩から選択される無機又は有機の固体潤滑剤からなるグループから単独で又は組み合わせて選択される通常の添加物0.1〜10質量%
からなる混合物であって、成分(a)の含有量は、成分(b)〜成分(d)の合計含有量の残部である、グリース組成物。 - 基油の粘度は、ISO粘度分類においてVG2〜VG1500に相当し、1.98〜1650mm2/sの範囲内にあり、イオン液体の粘度は、ISO粘度分類においてVG2〜VG1500に相当し、1.98〜1650mm2/sの範囲内にある、請求項1記載のグリース組成物。
- DIN ISO 2176による滴点が180℃より大きく、DIN51825により−60℃までの使用温度のために適している、請求項1記載のグリース組成物。
- 増粘剤で増粘された基油をイオン液体と混合し、引き続き高圧ホモジナイザー及び/又は三本ロール機で均質化することによりグリース組成物が得られるか、又は基油をイオン液体と混合し、前記混合物中で増粘剤の合成により増粘し、引き続き高圧ホモジナイザー、三本ロール機及び/又は他の適当な方法で均質化することを特徴とする、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のグリース組成物の製造方法。
- 120℃〜260℃の高い使用温度及びDIN51825により−60℃までの低い使用温度に適用するための、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のグリース組成物。
- 180℃〜260℃の高い使用温度及びDIN51825により−60℃までの低い使用温度に適用するための、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載のグリース組成物。
- 尿素を増粘剤として含有し、かつ少なくとも100mmの直径を有する内輪を有するローラベアリング又はボールベアリングの潤滑のために使用する、請求項1記載のグリース組成物。
- 尿素を含有し、かつ少なくとも100mmの直径を有する内輪を有するローラベアリング又はボールベアリングの再注油のために使用する、請求項1記載のグリース組成物。
